Thread: Does JtL help entertainers?

"I agree, Beery: that's my biggest problem with JtL.Now, I've been told I don't have to do the missions and such, but still - I don't want to have to align myself (even though I am a covert Rebel) with any group in space. I could just use my yacht, I suppose..."
Everyone says you don't have to do the missions, but when all is said and done the missions are 90% of the content, and for me, 10% of a game that costs $30.00 is only worth $3.00 if I don't intend to do the missions. Everyone who is toutingJTLsays that I have to accept the game as it is and adapt. Well I'm sorry butthat doesn't cut it. I play SWG the way I want to play it. Why should I adapt my whole character's philosophy - a philosophy I created and nurtured in a SWGenvironment that was already unfriendly to non-combat types - in order to meet the expectations of the combat types with regard to JTL? I've stuck with this game for a long time now, always with the hope that more non-combat content would come, but each time they issue a patch or an expansioncombat takes first, second, third, and fourth place, while non-combat content is either too little too late or not there at all. We keep getting fobbed off with promises of more content later, but 'later' keeps getting pushed further back while all the additionalcombat content gets fixed.
As the game expands, with more and more new features devoted to combat, my niche gets relativelysmaller and smaller (and it wasn't very big to begin with). Until SWG and JTL meets what I expect from a MMORPG, why should I pay more for getting less?
Noone forces you to buy expansion, noone forces you to change your lifestyle. It IS an expansion.
But it does not sound logical to expect something from an expansion pack that is announced as basic twitch combatwhen you don't have it also.

I don't know if this helps, but if you qualify for it you can pilot the SoroSuub freely and nonviolently. You don't have to, and furthmore can't, blow anyone else up nor can anyone blow you up. Plus you get some great views!

I am not really sure if you're trying to flame me or help me out... the issue we were talking about was a graphics issue.

Thanks for clarifying that Nacoa! I knew there was something... but a lot of times my mind only records the words 'blah blah blah'.
Your problem actually...
1.) Whoever wants tosurvive in ground that has JTL need entertainers to heal their battle fatigue. 200 BFand 200 mind wound almost 1K BF in an hour especially trying to learn game.
2.) Besides, being an entertainer does not stop you being pilot. Pilot does not need skill points.
3.) Space parties, space weddings...
4.) Winged Hawtpants, Leia's Skirt, Hooded Cloaks...
5.) Dancer Hammerheads...
What do you want more?

It's ok, everyone has ejector seats, no one REALLY dies.... right? Right?
