I guess part of " making it" is enjoying what you are doing in the game. I started out at launch as a dancer in Mos Eisley, too scared to even go over to the bank without an escort. ( lol) Over the course of the many weeks I spent dancing, I met a TON of nice people ( and some real jerks, too). I learned a lot about other profession because I RP'd the nice friendly entertainer and I'd ask questions about there wepons, the tags over their head, and their guilds.

I met other entertainers, some whom I still have contact with outside of the game. Others have been long term ingame friends, even when we have fought on opposite sides of the GCW. Ive been given some nice "trinkets", made a few credits, gone on some interesting adventures as the group dancer, and met some very interesting folks. ( Ill have to post the story about the guy with the " foot fettish" someday)

All in all, entertaining has given back much to me. Now it allows me to be a valuable part of my city, my guild, and the Rebel faction.

Ive swapped my Image design profession once for Doc, Ive swapped Doc for musican and thenranger and now Swordsman, but the dancing has been the cornerstone of my gameplay.

I can make good money as a dancer and pay the bills and have a nice amount in the bank, but it does not compare in any way from doing Mokk missions with a good swordsman. The loots you get from fighting Mokks and the amount they give you per mission surpass any great tip you can get as an entertainer. Yes, I occasionallyget the 100K tip, but more than likely Iget 5-10K. The difference in the end is 200K with a dancer on a good evening versus 2 million with a swordsman in a good evening (around 3 and a half hours of playing).
