Thread: More devvies! Yay!
kirah_ashlin wrote:And this is why even NJ doesn't post weekly updates (as upbeat and possitive a person as he is). There's nothing like reading through a thread where someone is asking for the latest news on an old concern and having the corr leave a frowning smiley as their reply . . . (okay, I doubt that any of them have actually done that, but you get the point

You know, I was just thinking...
I trust that you folks are doing what you can and thats fine. I just wish (like everyone) that our big issues would get addressed soon. I guess I'm just getting tired of waiting for fixes to AFK and lack of content stuff. That is why a weekly update from the Corrs would be welcome...if there was something to say. Otherwise it would be a bit more of a downer over the long haul. "Our issues remain, we're still waiting...that is all" would get old, quickly. It will certainly be a jubilant day when the afk play situation (as an example) is addressed. The big thing we may have that day is the legions of pro-bot folk that will come and lay their flames in on us for having supposedly caused it. A small bit of that backlash has been seen already in the recusive macros thread.
I'd like to see at least one of our big issues addressed before the summer of 2005.)
besides, the only reason I have "this week in politics" is because Baj started on it... then he left and stopped posting, so I picked it up (before I got corr) to kinda calm people down. the thread kinda stuck, and I try to remember to put it up every week.
if you really want to hear a corr tell their life story, come read my thread instead
Ohhh, it will. *nods* *sips booze* *munches her cookie* *hugs Kirah*

Xyrdre wrote:/cookie ShailasAnd I'll point out another thing that may be good news. The very point of this thread, originally.... they're hiring more devvies! That means more dev resources available to take on more of the game's issues. And another thing to point out... we've had red-tag names post in the Dancer forum lately, and we've seen two long-standing issues fixed in this last patch. Neither of those things had previously happened, now had they? Maybe... just maybe... all of this is an indication of a change in the way things will go from here out. I don't know for sure, but it looks promising to me.
I look at things as positive when content gets added. Not they fix bugs that used to work fine, that they broke and never got around to fix. Do you cheer for the doctor who cuts off your leg as an accident then neglects to reattach it for a year? Of course not its a mistake that shouldnt have happened in the first place and is out of line for it taking so long to be rectified.

Heh... for once, dancers got more of our top 3 quick fix bugs done before any other professions (and theirs are just like ours, often enough... things that were broken from other fixes or original issues). We came first, we got priority. That's cool in my eyes.
And, Musicians got fixes, too - so the Devs scored double brownie points. I really wonderif it was so painful to fix those 2 little things, compared to dealing with the likes of us for months and months and months ![]()
It's not everything, but man - it's something, and it reaffirms to me a bit that maybe they WILL fix us all up, some glorious sunshiney day.

think of it this way... almost 40 professions, each want a little fix, plus there's overall core system stuff, GCW, PA, etc... it adds up

Yeah, see my post earlier in this thread ![]()
They most definitely have their work cut out for them. It's their own fault, really. They allowed it to compound upon themselves. Oh well, hopefully the calvary arrives and gets all of us out of this mess.
