Note the number of flourishes on the "Tumble" dance.

10?

10 animations for a dance that has 8 flourishes. Is it that the other two are the base animations that play when you're not flourishing for the 'starter' version of the dance (IE Basic) and the 'polished' version of the dance (IE Basic2)? Or is there more to it than that? I don't really know anything at all about how the data is stored/structured. Just curious and tossing out a guess.

"Tumble" has10 named 'flourish' animations is what it means. Popular also has 10, but only the first 8 can be danced. The actual animations are labeled as novice loop(as in basic), base loop (as in basic2),the flourishes and 1 mistake (the one where you fall). Popular and "Tumble" actually contain animations labeled flourish 9 and 10, where as the other dances only contain flourishes labeled up to 8. In the case of Popular, we do not see the flourish 9 and 10 animations, probably "Tumble" will be the same although they may theoretically choose any 8. For reference some other dances contain multiple "takes" of the same flourish, the last take is the one that is used, but the unused versions are for some reason also stored. But these different "takes" are all similar to each other and are labeled as takes, rather than extre flos as in the case of Popular and "Tumble". If that makes sense.

The Tat jazz one looks great..any chance of seeing the others? This maybe will convince me to keep my master dancer alt if there is some new content out there coming. And are they really still doing the Hutt casino? Before next spring?

Totally random fact: all Dancer mocaps were done with female dancers. Just for the curious like I was.

What i'm realy curious about is the amount of liquor that was required to get whoever it was to perform the new footloose for motion capture.

Wow new dances *faints*

Although I am happy with whatever new stuff they wish to implement I was happy to see that much hasn't changed in the say last twenty years. The moves they did on the breakdance movie, I remember performing many of them myself lol. We had a great group together, we'd go downtown in the weekends with our 'ghetto blaster' and a large piece of nylon carpet to do our 'shows'. Soon we went from the streets to malls, from malls to small studios and from studios to theatres. It was fantastic experience. Though not all was that good. Because it was also the dance that put me in the hospital. I was never able to perform a windmill, so I usually ended up doing a half windmill then turn around on arms and land back on my feet in a sort of arch. guys loved it But during one performance I think I flicked my legs up too much (you need to get some speed to move) and I heard something snap. I couldn't finish my move and instead stumbled into the jury table and laid there. Almost unable to breath. Soon I was out on the brandcard but I never checked into the hospital until weeks later. Too afraid to go in and find out. Anyway, in the hospital it was discovered I had a collapsed lung. When I left the hospital I was told to take it easy. I was 17, loved to dance, going out - you think I'd listen right? No, of course not. So it took two more collapsed lungs until I finaly decided to quit dancing all together. Well the third time was a rather serious operation. It wasn't simply 'glued', but they removed the weak part of the lung so I lost about 1/3 of my original lung. To quit with dancing was really a tough decision, because I so loved to dance. Always have. I've danced for years, ballroom, latin, rock 'n roll, jazzballet you name it lol. If it had dancing in it, I wanted to try it. It isn't surprising that I came into the game and although initialy started as a marksman I almost immeditately switched professions when I met a dancer in game for the first time. That was a month after release AFter that I've always had some dancing, and in total I've mastered the dancer's profession now 4 times with a 5th coming up on Aloohna.

I was about to give up today again, well I would get master dancer and then switch to ID after the time changes come, but seeing all the stuff that actually is there, there is no way I can go and give up dancing now. Not again. It's been a pretty rough year for most entertainers (when I speak of entertainers I mean everyone, the entertainer, the ID, the dancer and musician), and I've given up on the profession many times and getting it back as well. Today however, I just got so fed up with the cantina's, the zombies, the lack of basic courtesy and respect, the spammers, the beggars and the plain stupids. And that even after taking a break of three days doing something else lol. I guess after having done it so often, I truly have ran out of patience.

but this has given me hope, and I thank you for posting this. It's now again a bit easier to fool myself in thinking that we will get better times

oops and sorry for the little sidetrack o' history - the movie just brought up many fond memories and I just felt compelled to share it.

Glad you did! And just as pleased to hear that you're sticking with the profession. I'm tired of losing friends to other professions and other games. I'm certain that your entertainer friends are just as displeased with the trend....

Okies. I see the link but can't access the page, something about Lycos not allowing direct access to sub-menus or something. Anyone know where else I could view this. I could really use some upbeat info coming out of SWG right now.

I tried tacking /index.html on at the end of the link and it then said this page has been removed because it violated angelfires terms of service.
