We've explained a lot of ways you could have misunderstood it. Honestly, I think your brother in law had April fool's a bit early on you. 
Since most of us have been building droids in this game for a lot longer than you've been playing, you're gonna have to trust what we tell you.Droidsdonot make brandy, or anything else for that matter.

how could i mis understood what i saw ? he has no artistan skills and his droid can make brandy all he has to do is give it the resources

Because you didn't see what you thought you were seeing. We have been building droids and playing SWG for a year, so we know what droids can do. As a new player, you simply saw something that you thoguht was one thing that it really wasn't.
You probably saw him storing a crate of brandy in his droid, or mistook his factory for a droid. Either way, his droid doesn't make brandy.

I Like the idea for the droid. Maybe not necessarily a factory, but it will crate things up for you. Give it 5 items you could normally store in a droid's item storage and it crates them up. I guess the only items this would apply to are uncrated items with the same serial number.
