You spent 100 points on Master Dancer. I spent 100 points on Master Dancer. I dance half the time I'm in the game. You dance.. a couple minutes a night?

Yes, you get benefit from being a master dancer. However your benefit is very small compared to the skill points you used to get it.

This would be like me picking up weaponsmith because I want to have good scout blasters in combat. Oh yeah, it helps, I can make my own guns whenever I need. But it is a waste of my skill points to do this.

And intelligent discussion is all around. Aye "Go AFKers"..

*shrug* whatever floats someone's boat.

I, like many others, chose to be an entertainer FOR the RP aspects, and the socialization, not the title.

I don't particularly care if someone finds my RP offensive, annoying, or any other word you could pop in there. I enjoy it, and the people I choose to interact with enjoy it.

AFK away if it makes you happy, but don't expect the respect of people who are in the profession for far different reasons than you, and view it as far more than you.

Before I bought this game I had a long conversation with a former beta-tester. He actually recommended I not buy it yet because in his opinion it was "not ready yet." After he saw I could not be dissauded, he then started giving me some advice on what would make the game the most fun and enjoyable. He asked me what my primary interests were, such as killing things, crafting, etc. I said, "I don't care about any of that. I just want a lot of good roleplay." He immediately responded, "Then be an entertainer. Roleplaying is built into the class, so you will get lots of it, and the other entertainers will be very likely to respond in kind when you RP."

I have to say he was right. I'm glad I picked the class.

There are a lot of reasons why I don't power-AFK, but the main one is this: whatever else you might be able to macro, you absolutely, positively, cannot macro roleplay. Since that's what I'm in the game to do, AFK macroing is useless to me... :-)
