Thread: no afk xp

Not nothing at all but to master an elite profession.most people who go in a cantina dont pay much attention to the lower level ents because they dont have buffs or they're not as good. Therefore the money doesnt come in which, in any profession, is needed wether to buy instruments or clothing or a new house or furniture, just anything that combat trades get to buy.I know, if i dont like it i should just go to combat trades...fair enough but again in all fairness i would like to have been able to work my character up the way everybody else has.Wether its for the conversation or meeting people or whatever, everybody has been afk and everybody has used a macro.
That is really funny, as a ATK player , AT NOVICE with rythm and popularI made over 1 million credits in tips in one week. How, by TALKING TO PEOPLE, ENTERTAINING people. I never once asked for tips, but perhaps 3 times reminded people to tip ALL entertainers. Creating a troupe of other novices, coordinating outfits, using band flourishes, etc and we had a blast, made plenty of money and met alot of great people and we all mastered in a few days. AFK doesnt bother me so much, but man AFK spammers are driving me NUTS. I use a macro, but only so I can interact with the cantina customers. I dunno about the XP issue, but it is laughable that you state a novice dancer can't make money.
Well said.

I think they should all three be bannable offenses. The right for you to "do it your way" should end as soon as it starts trampling on other's gameplay. Most games know this. This game was supposed to. The Devs just need to change howDancer is bestleveled. Who the heck ever thought this was a good idea that knows anything at all about fun game design?

If this is true it could make getting a buff at 3AM rather difficult...
Yeah 'cause you know the only ATK entertainers in existance are all playing in prime-time east coast US time, and never ever come from any other place in the world.

Boy, this was supposed to only be a quick question about a probable bug and turned out into emu bashing...wow.
You can all have your opinions of course, and as i previously stated, i dont necessarily agree with afk leveling but its there and so i will use it. Now, as for ent being a public prof, that is true but people can play their characters the way they want so far as i'm concerned and if i choose to spend my time talking then i will but but on my side of the world, when my atk time comes, the cantina is somewhat empty (save of course for all the other afk's out there). Also, if there is a macro for combat levelling then so be it! if that is the way people choose to do it, thats the way they'll do it, its their money and no one can dictate how they play it.I can still remember people selling their jedi's on ebay for hundreds.Did that upset me or make me feel cheated or indignant? no, 2 people entered a contract and both got what they wanted.(of course since SOE likes its money too, they put a stop to that).
So really, i have no need of this profession but will continue to pay it for a while with afk turned on while still at the keyboard, just to be spiteful and because self-righteousness disgusts me.Childish perhaps but WTH, i dont feel much honesty in most these posts anyhow and thats childish as well.

Act like a troll and get treated like one. What's so hard to understand about that?
If you "play" your character AFK to level it, what exactly do you hope to do with it once you're a Master? If the grind didn't captivate you, what good is the mastery of something you apparently don't like to do?

What I find completely and utterly hilarious is that the poster comes in here and openly endorses a practice that the majority of people on these boards hold with extreme contempt - then they complainsthat they are being "bashed" for something that has been acknowledged as harmful to the profession and social play. Maybe if the original poster had spent more time at the keyboard learning the etiquette of the profession as well as the flourishes and macros, they would probably have known better than to approach us here with such inane comments.
The mind boggles.

Well, I'm in Australia - 2am for most US people is around 7pm for me, so yes, we are out there. If you get in contact with live players on your server forum who are on at that time, put them on your friends list. I rarely have a quiet moment when I'm on, many of the 3am players are also very good friends and patrons of mine. In addition, most of my cantina business actually comes from 3am players who have been referred to me by others or they send me a tell/email because theyhave heard I am on during those hours
