Why would you not tip a dancer who is paying 15 bucks a month to heal your BF, mind wounds and buff you for 2 hours.
Uh, maybe because you don't have to? Come on, that's pretty clear. It's also pretty easy to understand why we are so "abused" with a set up that gives us almost no control.
Why are you being so aggresive and 1 starring all of my posts?.....*shrug*
I have never been to a forum that was angry and mean to new people who were just trying to contribute. I'm never going to come to this forum ever again. Do you think your negative replys actually help people?
Whoa, buddy. I only one star trolls and jerks, neither of which you appeared to be when I posted this morning. I thought you were probably a nice guy who is just very confused. I haven't one starred you yet.
My reply wasn't negative. Try thinking it through. At least take the time to understand what I'm saying before saying that I'm wrong, lol.
Ok I'm sorry then ![]()

Nah I wasn't saying that they weren't any good. I just meant it's really easy to make a good living if you do certain things. It's unfortunate thats the way it is. I was only trying to help him make a decent living.

G-string eh? What game are you playing?
Honestly, it is really unfair to assume that because not all ATK entertainers make the kind of money your wife does, that we're poor at it. Drygo's been fighting that mindset for ages. It used to completely frustrate him, but I think now he's just given up on arguing the point. Well, I haven't. Not all of us are willing to sacrifice our dignity for a few credits.

In this game, the only real unit of currency is ATK play.
Doctors use resources, you say. But those resources represent time spent. Either the doctor is surveying and planting down harvesters, or creature resourcing, or is paying a c/p/u fee for someone else's time doing those same activities (because harvesters are comparatively cheaply run). Same deal if the doctor buys the buffs pre-packaged - now the doctor is paying for someone else's time in gathering resources AND assembling the buffs. So a doctor buff if we break it down into time increments is:
value of time gathering resources + value of time crafting/factory babysitting + time to apply buffs + downtime. Remember, not all doctors are all busy all the time. Sometimes it's a good while between clients.
Again, somewhere along the line, someone spent time doing one of these activities. Whether the doctor doing the buffs is the same person who spent the time earlier down the line is irrelevant.
But now there are other time values... The overhead is sort of a "pro rata" bit that has to get added on because a buff is not just about the buff itself. Here are other costs.
Time to master doctor + time cost of resources expended to master + time cost of crafting stims to master + time cost finding training + time cost finding crafting equipment + time cost of earning money to pay the NPC trainer + cost of maintaining buildings to store materials + factory costs...
The list goes on. Material costs suddenly start to be irrelevant.
Now let's look at entertainer buffs.
Time to apply buffs + time waiting around.
Then we have the overhead:
Time to master + time cost finding training + time cost finding clothing + cost of clothing + time cost of earning money to pay the NPC trainer + cost of maintaining buildings to store clothing
It's not as much of a cost, but there are still time costs associated with entertaining. It definitely changes your perspective when you consider every aspect of the game according to the ATK game time associated with it. Buff bots have created the perception that time is meaningless because they are always around.

I'm a female human master dancer, but I'm not willing to "do certain things". I do not want for credits, but I would not be willing to act the tramp just to make more.

Wow, did this tread got turned around lol
To comment on the latest development all I have to say is this: to everybody’s each own… my avatar is a very pretty human female but there is no way in hell I’ll ever let her act like a tramp in order to make few extra credits.
If my maintenance is running low I rather run delivery missions or few low level combat missions.
But then that’s my choice.
To answer the original poster’s question:
As many people stated before I also only work for tips. If I would have to say the average tip I get it would be 10 to 15K for a full set.
In my time I have gotten as low as 50 credits for a full set from a newbie who about a month later sent me an e-mail apologizing about not understanding the game and the server’s economy yet and bank-tipping me 100K for not taking offence that day and being nice to him. Apparently another entertainer latter that day was rather rude to him for tipping 50 credits. Needless to say he become one of my regular customers.
On the other hand I have a regular customer who always tips me 50K for music only, in his book dance is not worth waiting around for.
So as you see everyone places a different value on mind buffs. Just take in the account how useful those buffs will be to you in the next 2 hours and how much credits you will make and decide how much of it you are willing to share with the entertainer buffing you.
Should you tip zombies aka AFK Bots? Why? I never did and I don’t know any sensible person who does. They are not there.. All they doing is adding to the server lag and backstabbing ATK entertainers who are trying to make it in the world full of zombies.
Their reasoning of spending $15 month to deserve tips holds no water even if they are converting the credits earned in game to RL money to cover the cost.

Oh come on Drygo. Show some skin!
*runs quickly away*
Personally I hate watching entertainers prostitute themselves for credits. I'd rather be poor. Twi's have a bad enough reputation. I certainly don'twant one standing next to mekissing every male that comes into the cantina while dancing in her underclothes. That will only prompt them to assume I'm going to behave the same way. And then there will be bloodshed. Before our profession was so dramatically cheapened, I could make more money performing while fully clothed and doing no more than greeting and interacting with customers than I can now make with my rifle. Entertainers don't actually have to sell sex or the promise of sex in order to make a living. We just need people to respect our profession as they do any other.
cheers,
Ikewe, Master Dancer Shadowfire
