Dancer Archive
Thread: Read ASAP everyone
1) Do you have plans to stop trivializing the socializing profession so many of us have worked hard to master by encouraging the combat-monkeys to turn them all into macro-fests?
2) Do you have plans to make earned abilities meaningful by not allowing them to be kept by those that have surrendered the skills (cantinas, theaters, vendors, merchant tents)?
3) Do you have plans to make the /deny list persistent.
4) Can we have /deny faction and deny guild?
5) Can I have /deny jedi? Because I fully intend to use it!
- Fix Formal/Lyrical base dances
- More flourishes for the upper dances
- AKFers
- Allow items/instruments to be placed on Theatre stages
- Dancer held props - Fans, Flowers, etc...
- Some sort of improvement to the buffing system, know who is watching, time bar, multiple buffings (non grouped), etc...
- Lessen to elimination on falls as going up the skill ladder - A Master should never fall.
- Allow registration at all dancing locations - remote taverns/cantinas etc...

The devs need to understand that a Master title is meaningless unless you had to actually WORK to achieve it.

The only thing that gives Master meaning is you!

I would like a command that we can use to have a whole group of dancers start the same dance at the same time. Synchrone dancing looks great, and a whole band of dancers could also hire themselves out at parties....
Right now we have to time it manual, which due to reactions and lag does not work very good....

5)Exactly what drugswas the designer who created the theater for player citites on, and can we please get some too? Can we expect that someone will revisit that useless waste of space and make it a decent and useful building like the theaters in NPC cities are?

Yup. You can't even dress the stage or anything, and there's no real seating, just the amphitheatre slants.
I'm glad I ended up buying our Cantina, because I wasn't so excited about the theatre.
Questions:
#6: Do you recognize that unattended gameplay is the norm these days while players that are live are a minority ?
#7: Do you intent to follow through on your EULA and prohibit any type of unattended gameplay ?
#8: Is any DEV or SUIT actually playing the game ?

Sheesh. Stereotypes these days.
i know what you mean

Startover:
1. Props--Will we be seeing such things made available to hold while performing that are
not just weapons-related?
2. Content--Will there be more active content for the entertainer classes to participate in
in? (Such as making Jabba's Throne Room work like a cantina; missions involving
having to visit an NPC battle--could be any two opposing factions not just
Rebels and Imperials, you and your combat friends take out one side, the
entertainers heal, buff, or just perform for the winning NPC side, and then all
receive reward; missions involving having to perform for an influential NPC for
higher reward--maybe personages such as Jabba the Hutt, Lady Valerian, the
Emperor, Luke Skywalker, the Nightsister Queen, the Drall Leader, Lord Nyax,
The Tusken King, etc.--perhaps each could request a specific favorite dance.)
3. Dances--Will we be seeing new dances and flourishes and when?
4. Buffing--Will we be able to buff ourselves eventually and when?
5. Group--Will we be seeing some commands that help groups dance synchronously better?
(Like those already mentioned: /groupstartdance, /groupchangedance,
/groupflourish, /groupstopdance.)
There. I am anxiously awaiting the response and consideration.

mmmk, no special order here...
1. New dances/flourishes-- I don't like how they did the ones for poplock, the timing was off and it looked fake, they did this with some of the other dances, too.
2. Falling-- I'm a master and have been for a while, falling isn't much fun...
3. Mind Buffs-- Maybe a system where instead of us needing to keep track of time, a system message could pop up on the watcher's screen. Also, Mind buffing myself would come in very handy
4. Base dances-- I was sad when I did formal/lyrical, I don't like how on the base dance of formal after like 2 spins, my charecter like looks around franticly like she's lost or something, lol.
5. Dancer only clothes-- I really like this idea. I think it would help liven up the profession, for me atleast. I was thinking maybe we could come up with a system similar to the faction points one. For example, Imperial wants stormtrooper armor, get's the faction points, goes to an Imperial recruiter, and buys it. Dancer wants new outfit, gets the xp, goes to dancer trainer, and buys it. Different outfits could be at different levels so that you have to work your way up to get them. I think it's a fun idea, but you guys might not, thought I'd atleast try.
6. Props-- This could be in the same format as my dancer only clothes one. There could be a wide variety of props used...as said on the 'Dance Pole' thread: hoops, flaming sticks, canes, garlands, boas, staves, poles, swords. I think this would help show each dancer's individuality. Different styles of dancing with differnent props for me would make the profession more enjoyable, but hey, just my opinion.
Those are my major issues, I usually dance in the theed cantina, and I'm not real up on the /registerlocation thing, I've heard it talked about, have no idea what the point of it is, or what it even does for that matter...but it hasn't come up as a problem for me, but if it is for others, then it deserves fixing.
Also, on a side note, others of you were asking about the holo/entertainer problem. I guess since they changed the jedi being system holos might become a smaller part of the things you need, or maybe removed alltogether, again, just what I've heard. So, if that is the case, hopefully that problem will be solved.
Guess that's all I have to say...
