I almost never do that. I did in the second example I mentioned, but not the first. I did stop and start watching several times, as I mentioned, but I was not watching and listening.

Did you wait for a "Max Duration" flag to go up before stopping each timeor did you just keep starting and stopping at odd intervals?

Well, I did some testing finally, and I do believe that what I was seeing was what people here explained, that the buffs were just resetting. I didn't expect that.
