Do you realise how sad to burry R.A of Intrepid (PRE-PUB9 Jedi), S.A of Infinity (POST-PUB9 Jedi) | .. and nameless 18 other living breathing characters?

The sad thruth is, that entertainer missions are a necessary evil now if the Dev's intend to keep us in the game. With the doc buffs (less damage taken), the introduction of Brandy, and the overwhelming number of AFK ents, it is nearly impossible to make a living as an entertainer....at least a successful living. As more and more people are out grinding for their jedi, or out in space, the cities on my planet (both cities and player cities) are becoming more and more empty.

I think that its terrible that we have to have missions now to survive.

I've been playing SWG since the beginning, and I'm sad to say that Ihave recently been considering leaving the game for good. For a year before this game's release, all I ever wanted to be was a dancer.....and now unless I spend a good deal of time plotting and planning events, my character has become useless. I never wanted anything more than to work in the local cantina, make a good living and have fun....I didn't want it to have to be as much work as its becoming.

Sadly, at this juncture, even if we do finally ever get rid of the afk's, we will have an entire generation of players who will have to be "retrained". The afk's have been around for so long, that most players don't know what life was like before they arrived! I have watched, what use to be an incredible living from tips, turn into a pittiful showing (at best) because people are so use to getting healed for free, that they rarely tip these days.

Please don't get me wrong, I thank our correspondents for working so dilligently on our behalf, and our dev's for finally bringing some of our matters and concerns into the light, but I fear that for some, this may be too little, too late.

As far as the "get em in and get em out quick" theory goes....healing is a necessary evil. No one likes to do it, but everyone has to.....just like putting gas in your car. By lowering the time that it takes to get that done, you lower the time that people have to be together, learn about each other, form relationships, and you take away from the emersion that is the reason that most of us became dancers/entertainers in the first place! I certainly don't see that as a plus for the entertainers at all, I see that as a plus to all the other professions.

So, while I'm appreciative that we're being heard on some levels, I see this "fix" as a lateral move.

One step forward + One step back = Right where you started.
