Thread: Entertainer Website?
I agree with Tiaga here - we should have it under swgentertainers.com/net/org (whichever)as we are a whole community and not justthree separate intities (rather like a three stranded cord, eh?). It would be simple enough to have swgdancers and swgmusicians all point to swgentertainers. Then there could be sub-sections within the site to deal with field specific topics. However, it would be wonderful to haveONE place where we couldall go and not be segretated.
And don't translate that into Basic+! I wouldn't be able to understand that terminology either! LOL

I don't expect us to need any kind of insane bandwidth either. I can give you a box with apache, mysql, and php... but your set up sounds fine. If we need to move to something beefier later, I can hook you up then. I don't care how we handle the name resolution, I'll give you the domain to handle however you like. Just send me your IP if you want me to use my own DNS or tell me what DNS you'll be using if you want to use your own so I can update the registrar.
Either way, let's get this thing propagating! The site itself is on you... I'm ready to wiki contribute when we have a go!

Seriously, doesn't make a difference to me. I doubt it will be terribly high bandwidth, but I'm fine with whatever. As I said I've already got something up, but I doubt DNS has gotten further than my puny little rack. So far all it needs is PHP, mysql and ideally mod_rewrite in apache, but that's just a convenience, not a requirement.
