You know, the more I think about it, the more annoyed I get! It's like the devs ran out of time and totally shorted higher level dancers. Basic, Popular, Poplock, Rhythmic - these dances all have a full eight flourishes. But what about our top knowledge and even Master level dances?

Exotic (1): I don't know, I never do it

Exotic 2: Flourish 1 unique, Flourish 2 & 3 exactly the same, Flourish 4 the jiggle turn. Flourishes 5-8 non-existent (unless you count the flourishes from basic, I think).

Exotic 3: Flourish 1 unique, Flourish 2 looks exactly like the base dance, Flourish 3 is a slightly longer version of Flourish 1, and Flourish 4 is AGAIN the jiggle turn re-used! Once again, Flos 5-8: nothing.

Exotic 4: Flourish 1 unique, Flourish 2 and 3 exactly the same, Flourish 4 there's that darn jiggle turn again, and still no Flo 5-8!!!

Dang it dancers, we got gypped!

I was wise to exotic 1 before I even got the skill. As a result, I've only danced it once, when I was illustrating the lack of unique flourishes in all of the exotics to a new dancer.

I thought of exotic 1 as the dance that masters are left with after suffering a minor stroke, but I could see it asdrunk as well.

It's among the worst dances we have.

Technically the only dances with a full 8 flourishes are basic and popular. The rest either lack a few or had some added later that don't quite look the same as the rest.

Well, since my dancer enjoys a drink every now and then, it's perfect.

But... that's all I use it for.

not drunk, it has a short part that looks off balance. When it's the only thing you got it makes you look like your just learning exotic wich is good. When you have all 4 exotics it is not only easy to avoid the part you don't want is is an invaluble tool to get your hands from the UP position in exotice 4 to the DOWN position for exotic 2.

Oh funny, busted! hehe... that's what I was working on when I decided it was more amusing to just use it for drunken dancing.

*sigh* Oh well, back to working on my timing... Sultrina has caught me slacking off and partying!

My recall may be faulty, it's been a while and I never quite made master before the character wipes, but way way back in beta were there not only two exotic styles? I sort of got the impression that they did the motion capture with around that number in mind, and then decided they needed four and parcelled out the flourishes that were originally supposed to all belong to one or at most two exotic styles. Pure speculation of course, but that was definitely the feeling I got!
