Thread: /denyservice
I want it so I can deny service, but conversations can still happen ...
the only other options I know of is /addignore or put on friend list (which can add a lot of people).
it is /denyservice for adding and removing from the deny list (which I don't know how to see who is on the list) ... but this works ...
I tested it on an Imperial (yes I un-denied him too)
4 quick questions:
I'm at work, and my home machine is down for several days, or else I'd test this myself...
1) /denyservice prevents a denied player from trading with you and from using any of your vendors, and that is it?
2) To additionally prevent all communications from a denied player, youalso have to /addinore them?
3) Will /denyservice [character's first name] allow you to deny from afar w/o needing to target that character?
4) Does /denyservice also effect /tip? In either direction? (ie- they cant tip you and you cant tip them either)

simply put ... i dunno
Started experimenting with this a little last night, but didnt have much time:
1) /denyservice was used on someone on my buddie list and I was still able to trade with them. I need to experiment with this more as I did not have time to test it with vendors, or with someone NOT on my buddie list.
2) I was also able to hear them and recieve tells from them. Need to test this with someone NOT on my buddie list.
3) I used /denyservice [character name] wiht nothing targeted and it added the character who's name I used to my deny list. This should mean I can deny anyone, no matter where they are (if for example a client rips off a guildmate or associate, you too can add that name to your deny list w/o needing to find the offender).
In addition, the person being denied DOES recieve a system message telling them that they are being denied service, and by who! Use with caution to minimizereprisals!
Ohh, I always thought /denyservice was just for entertainers.
At the moment when I put people on a blacklist I just /addignore them. (shrug)
