Thread: Buff Exploit?

the kind of quick buff i do takes about 3 minutes, at least i suggest i be watched for that length of time to make sure the buff really sets in. the way i do it is i start a dance, click my macro i have on my hotkey which is a six lines of flourishing, a one second pause, and then a loop back to that same hotkey. the only way i ever do this buff is to either have someone constantly heal me, or i get a quickness buff. note, i am always at my keyboard when i am playing (well, bathroom and food trips happen, and then i just pause whatever 'm doing and sit in a corner for a bit while i'm AFK for a few minutes) when i can't do the quick buff, i usually do the 8 to 10 minute one, again, to make sure it sinks in.

so, the buff can happen in 3 minutes. maybe a minute, but i want to make sure my customer is getting their money worth out of the buff. but,i don't know why this is considered an exploit. if they fix it, they fix it. so what, my patron has to watch for five minuntes instead of three. still pretty quick.i would understand if it somehow hurt other dancers, but maybe 'm too naive to figure that out. i mean, i'm at my keyboard, 'm making money for doing my profession.i amnot AFK and doing it for free (there was a story about there here on the boards i believe, and although dancing is definitely not my source of income, i can sympathize.)

so, without getting mud slung at me, can i get an explaination, just for my understanding, on why it may or may not be considered an exploit? i'd appreciate it ^_^

With what? hehe, I could have danced at you maybe.

More dance posting for you or you will get the Deadly Dance of the Bantha! mwahaha

Now you have been warned.

Funny you should mention batha. While I don't look half-bad on the dance floor...when it comes to posting here and speaking my mind, I can sometimes have the grace and finesse of a raging bantha. (OK...Ig et passionate and tend to a. be honest to the point of brutality and b. drive my point home with the business end of a power hammer.)
