Thread: The end of Large Performances/Concerts?

I still plan on Starport Jams as normal. In fact, I'll have to make sure to report all the barkers that are there, since they're a 'gathering' and are 'ruining my gamplay experience'

Other than that, just have them at Starports that aren't already a lagfest. Coronet is out. Theed is still ok if we're inside and not out front, since no one is really inside. The rest are just fine I think.

STARPORT JAM 7.0 Will GO ON AS PLANNED! And I'm hoping that you all show up!

If any CSR or what not shows up send them my way, since I am responsible! If I get banned then it's for the greater glory of Entertainers everywhere!

I WILL NOT stoop to people censoring me or telling me where I can and can't be and I sure as hell won't let a CSR break up an event that is supposed to be fun for us entertainers and get us out of those crappy cantinas!

I WILL NOT alter my plans for hopping starports either! Meet at the Theed Starport at the time listed!

This IS NOT a protest, this is for fun! This is for Entertainers and those who want to be entertained!

See you at the JAM!

Oh and panthu? if this is something that was already in place why is thunderhearts thread titled NEW policy on mass gatherings?????

I don't know. Perhaps to gain attention. He could come out with a post saying "New Policy on Credit Duping" and it would most likely just mean "This is the first time we're saying it this way i.e. New"... it wouldn't make anyone think credit duping was ever ok.

I understand Goldy's concerns and I think we will need to keep an eye out for this. It hasn't happened yet though, so it's hard to start dealing with it at this point. I'll be ready to pounce if it does become a problem.

Lilo is right. *shrug*

I have passed this on, maybe we'll see a new comment. Even if not, just keep on doing your thing. If you see a problem with CSRs coming to break up Ent Events, just do what they say in game then come back and report it. We'll deal with it if it happens. As always, make sure you get any CSR's names if you do need to have something clarified.

Carry on with Starport Jams as normal. If a CSR shows up and asks you to move along, please do. This has not been a problem for Ent Gatherings before and I don't see any sign that it will in the future. This was a restating of something already in place, you should see no change.

If you do, please come back and post about it or PM me then. Until that time, carry on as normal.

I'm, without a doubt, going to perform anywhere and with whomever I darn well please.

If I'm EVER asked by a CSR to disperse, they will be greeted with buffbot-like silence from me. They can teleport me anywhere they like and kill me/freeze me etc. By saying nothing, I've not specifically defied theirdictatorial tactics, I've only been in the bathroom or getting a drink.

Consider my form of non-violent protest

But yeah, I'm carrying on until this really becomes a problem with large performances. Just wanted to give the heads up to the community - we have more than our share of haters who'll do anything to mess with our game, though.

Maybe ifI tell a CSRI'ma buffbot, I'll get a "Credit tothe Profession" badge and be left alone.

The first time i'm asked to disperse from an entertainment event by a csr or any other representative of SOE will be the LAST day of my subscribtion... Period. Thats my NEW policy on SOE's NEW policy.

Exactly. Most of this is for extreme situations and not the normal type of player events and such... If a CSR politely asks you to spread out or something, then please do.

The reason its posted is just so everyone is aware.

This is in the main thread guys.

Also, TH answerred me already. He says this isn't directed at us and shouldn't cause us any problems. Please carry on.

Well, I don't really think this will affect as at all. I'm not really going to worry about it unless it happens to me. But, yeah, I always look at things warily because I also didn't think the whole credit duping thing was going to turn out the way it did with mass bannings. I expected a more responsible reaction by the devs. In other words, it's not unprecedented for a policy to turn out badly. But, like I said, I think we're going to be fine with this one so I'm not about to go add to the already 10 pages of posts on the regular topic complaining about it. LOL

I'm just happy that we're going to be able to store things in dressers! Wheee!! What a wonderful improvement that I was totally not expecting any time soon.

SAY WHAT?!?!

When is this happening? Will this still be affected by the house limits or is this separate storage?

I don't know if this effects limits or not (but, it probably won't). I just think it's cool that items have actual functionality. I can use my dresser instead of hanging backpacks on it.

Anyway, Rogue_5 says of today's Test Center update:

"Furniture: All armoires, bookcases, cabinets, and chests can now all hold items."

I don't know when it is coming live, but it must not be too far off if it's in TC.

Once again, Entertainers take a serious hit.

This policy very well may affect us all.

If you're planning on a large concert, logically, move it somewhere where no one will watch you. Perform to the trees in the middle of nowhere.

If you don't think that some spiteful Combat person will /report our "mass gathering" and force it to be broken up, think again.
