If they don't say they want the macro for afk play, how do you know that's their intentions? Not everyone comes here wanting macro help for the afk/bot purpose. Some do absolutely, but not all.

Inthe past, I have seen people ask just for a dance macro with no mention of their intentions and they were flamed for it. I won't help a bot either but to be rude just because they want macro help is wrong. So I sent PMs to help them. During my first tenure as a dancer, I was even paid 100k in-game once for just a simple dance macro. I gave it back saying it was my pleasure to help. She tipped it back saying I was the only one whowould help her out. She had no intentions of being afk either.

I won't help a bot at all. Everyone who knows me knows exactly what I think of those. However, I certainly will not flame someone just because they ask for help. I also don't understand why some dancers hate people who use macros. I use them and I'm completely atk. I can't answer questions in guildchat, groupchat and spatial plus hit the flos. Some days I'll have 3 conversations going in spatial both IC and OOC plus my guild and group and/or tells. Anything that makes that a bit easier on me I'm going to use. I also have arthiritis in my hands so macros make it easier for me for another reason. According to some people though, just because I use a macro, I'm hurting the prof. I don't see how that's possible but oh well. I will always use a macro, recursive or otherwise.

The original poster is right. There is way too much hate on this board. I understand the anger entertainers have with regards to bots. I share that sentiment. However I don't post here much anymore either because ofall the negativity.It gets depressing to see the arguing with neither side really willing to see the others point of view or so it seems anyway. I know a few other people who have stopped posting here for the same.

I know that's why the afk/bot thread was made but I've only read the first page or 2 and won't read anymore. I really don't see the point. It's just the same old arguments with hardly anyone agreeing.

I'll come back to see if there's any new info about the prof but otherwise..I've had my fill.
