there's about as much hope for new content as there is for the imperial hat
'nuff said
or it will end up being a bunch of crappy little gamble wheels that we can play which already exist in theed (yeah they do, in building next to shuttleport) that we might be able to slice for 40 credits

In response to the original thread though, FrankLee is right, the Hutt Casino is shrouded in mystery, and other than the fact that the Hutts are known to associate with smugglers, I am pretty sure that there is no reason to expect any smuggler content from it.
Well...there is this

Mini Publish 10.2
- Hutt Casino: This is a major Social Adventure geared towards Dancers, Musicians, and fast-talking Smugglers. It is also going to be a great place just to hang out. It was moved from Publish 9 to Publish 10 because our art resources will be cranking on Space during that time. Believe me, it will be worth the wait!
But it aso says it's all possible to change...which is why I asked

What ever happned to the Hutt Casino thats suppose to be added as a social Dungeon. I know they pushed it back becouse of lightspeed, and now becouse of the Combat Upgrade (?).
Anyone know when this will be added, or if the entertainer prof will have any say in it?
just wondering

No body knows. They are saying after a few major publishes, but again...no one really knows.

I'll ask again. Never hurts to send a gentle /poke from time to time, even if just to get some idea of where the project stands.

You don't mind that it bears a strange resemblence to an electric cattle prod, do you?

I hope they didn't abandon the idea. From the little information they did provide, it sounded like it would have a lot of nice features for smugglers as well as entertainers. And goodness knows smugglers deserve some attention and love. I feel so sorry for those guys.
Good luck with that prodding Deila.

You asked, I poked, and Tyrant gave me the straight dope. Can't ask for more than that.
I'm sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news, but you all deserve to hear it straight. The Hutt Casino has been shelved.
The devs have been working very hard to make the improvements that they feel are of the utmost importance to the overall health and quality of the game, including the previous JTL development, the Combat Upgrade, and the comingnon-combat profession revamps. All of those things are very large in scope, and unfortunately some other things, like the Hutt Casino, just had to be left behind for other priorities.
That's not to say that the Hutt Casino will never be introduced; everyone was very excited about the work that had gone into it's development thusfar. The reality is though that there just isn't room in the planned schedule for it right now.
I know that this isn't the answer that we wish we could get, but I'd rather have the straight dope than hang onto hopes that just can't be fulfilled. In the meantime, I'll keep working on our other issues and fixes in order to get as many improvements as we can, and continue to work to set the stage for a really awesome profession revamp.

Well, the news is disappointing, but I agree - better bad news than no news. At least we know now . . . .

Tyrant said No Hutt Casino.
Well, I'd actually call this GOOD news--we finally got a straightforward Yes or No out of a Dev. That's some major progress.

The truth is better than false hope. /shrug
(trying very hard to not be bitter dispite our recent improvements, which appear designed to satisfy the needs of the combatters instead of the entertainers)
