Ohhhh! I had 10 little pets I used for entertaining before the nerf (when a non-CH could store pets in a droid and control pets up to lvl 15). One of my favorite entertainingpets was a peko because they dance. I miss my non-combatpet collection, they were fun!

but seriously since the beginning i've wanted a little monkey to dance with me .. like a purbole or something

Have someone tame you either a low level BE woolamander or a Shaupaut from Naboo, make sure it has column and wedge formations trained.

Call it and give it a command for either formation, then dance a "bouncey" dance such as popular or footloose.

Voila!

Argh

I swore I saw a non-CH with a monkey of some sorts and that was the only low level thing I could come up with, so I thought it was that.

I'll keep looking and let you know if I come up with something.

As a long time Master Dancer and Master CH combination I already incorporate pets into my dancing almost all the time. Some things that I could see adding some fun to this would be:

- Ability to have your pet do trickanimations without healing itself and using your action/health up. This would allow me to choreograph my big cats more into routines without killing myself in the process

- A variety of "pet clothing" items... these would be pets, but they'd also be a bit like jewelry, since you wear them. They would be small creatures, that when trained as "clothing" would then no longer run around on their own like normal pets. Instead, when called, they would attach themselves to you and become part of your costume. Some possibilities include:

  1. asmall mamallianthat sits on yourshoulder and perhaps (as its trick) hops up and down once in a while (you could not wear an arm piece/armor if worn)

  2. asnake that wraps around your arm and rests its head on your hand or shoulder ( you could not wear a bracer on your arm if worn)

  3. a small bird/butterfly that perches on your head and perhaps periodically (as its trick) takes off and flies around your head (you could not wear a hat/helmet if worn)

Optionally, if you have such a pet out, it might grant some sort of bonus to you while worn, maybe to fatigue healing skill. I envision a new CH skill (like train mount) that trains certain pets as clothing. To help CHs, make sure that no biopets can be so trained, only wild caught pets. Note also... non-CH could only wear one pet at a time (since they are limited to one pet out at once) while CH-dancer/musicians could wear more than one if they wanted!

- Pet emotes... this is notentertainer specific but would help us more than most...I think that pets need to be able to have their emotes controlled. I would like to be able to tell my pet to go into any of its animation states (lieing down, sitting, standing, fidget animation) at will. This would allow better choreography of pets into routines. E.g. I have three trained cats that often dance with me... I could tell one cat to lie down and rest, another to sit, and have the third periodically do tricks as one part of a show. This has all sorts of fun uses I think and would take zero new art!

I am sure I will think of more, but those are all things I have always wanted from my pets while performing with them.

I mean, in real life, people can train animals to do some incredible stuff!

They can in here too... when I waited for the shuttle at the starport once I saw a CH training a noona to patrol, and believe me, a patrolling noona is something you won't forget for the rest of your life

But serious now, I like the idea, especially the "wearable pets", the monkey thing is interesting too, there are some very nice flourishes in exotic 3 which would look absolutely awesome being performed first by you, then by your monkey.

And I want my own little Ewoke companion

Ooh.. I'd like a baby tusk cat making figure 8's around my legs.

There's an idea -- I would LOVE the ability to make some of my pets stay baby sized as they "grow."

Not necessarily nerf their stats but just keep 'em small so I don't have a huge honkin' turtle stomping around after me and driving me bonkers.

Oh wait, this is the dancer forum. /bonk me

That would be a nice feature for "dancer trained" creatures, IMO, the option to make them stay small to reduce cantina lag and just 'cause small is cute.

Bad typos. No cookies for you.

I've wished Image Designers could ID pets in just this way (as well as change their color to all the allowable colors for that creature.)

How about cute pets? I mean all the CH pets generally have some nastyness to them... Have you taken a close look at all the bunny creatures? They either look demonic, or have no eyes (which is kinda demonic...) the "butterflies" are more like "satan's butterflies". Even the flity birds look kinda nasty, about the only thing that doesn't are gurrcats, but I think they were cuter when they were smaller (mine grew at some point after I got him and he grew fully, started out tiny grew up to be small, and then one day he was medium size all of a sudden...)

Oooh, I've always wanted a snake for use when doing the exotic dances. Maybe something that could slither across from one hand, around the neck to the other hand.

I do like the idea of a snake, to dance exotic with a snake wrapped around my character has a nice ring to it. But the snake would have to do “something” not just hang there and would definitely have to “fit”, not like an ill-fitting bandolier.

Also it would be cute if we could have pets to actually mimic us as we dance and their movements would be lot less coordinated then ours.
I guess in order not to pollute cantinas with too many pets it would have to be masters only and/or we could take a double stamina hit while dancing with pets.

Pets will mimic your movements today at least a little bit. Have a CH train the pet the column formation. Issue the command and dance, the pet will try to stay in column with you and therefore dances around with you. When I was master CH I used to pull my two wasteland cupa, put them in formation, and do /dance it was humorous in the extreme to watch them twirl and dance with me.
