Yes, it is a nice tool, problem is, I don't know what I wanna do with those points...and no, selling them is not an option.

I've played DAOC before I came to SWG.
In the beginning there was no way to respec anything in the game. Once you'd learned a skill you had it forever or you had to reroll your character.
With one patch they added a "one time respec" for everyone, since too much had changed in the game. I think that was a good thing actually.
Then they added free respecs at level 20 and level 40 (level 50 is max), and also "respec stones" which could be looted and allow a respec anytime.
Later the practice of adding "respecs" whenever a professions skills were changed.
Result of it was, that now people don't level according to what they want to be, but to what is easiest or whatever. They train with a hammer, and suddenly they forget everything and are masters with dual-wielding axes, without ever having to retrain or so. Then they buy a respec stone and suddenly are masters of shield+sword.
When I came to SWG i really like the fact that you could "respec" whenever you wanted, but if you did so, you couldn't just transfer your skills over you had to train the new ones from scratch.
I fear SWG will develop into the same direction DAOC took, allowing free respecs every few patches and stuff, and I don't really like it.

**Cheers for the Clicky, Dath**
Yup, I found this with DAOC also - templates were no longer unique or had ahint of individual flair, but were rather cookie-cutter templates that made you fashionably uber 1337 depending on what the hot class and point specs were

Well, she has Novice TK right now so she can meditate for RP reasons. She's a priestess of Twi'lek religion, looks better than having her just sit, but hey, I can't keep that, so I need to figure out what to do. Maybe she could be a medic or ID.
