Having special danceclothes (seperated from the current selection of clothes) with mods that are certified would be awsome..

Imagine themaster dancer hawtpant

If the logic behind armor certification is that you need skills to properly don and use certain armors, that logic should hold true with certain clothing items.

It may be the same logic but I really don't want to see bad logic like that expanded to the rest of the game just because it's gotten into some systems. To use an old cliche'two wrongs don't make a right'

I wouldn't mind seeing some dancer certs for some clothing, namely the Exotic leotard seeing as it is the trademark outfit of the most famous Star Wars Dancer, Oola. However, with the exception to the exotic leotard, I'd rather that tailors be given a completely new line of dancer certified clothes, rather than limiting or restricting a large portion of their fashion and customer base on the articles they can craft now. I think also, a lot of people who are not entertainers, might become a lil peeved if their wardrobe became restricted, and I'd hate to see a negative backlash on us because of it.

Possibly, if the devs did want to go down this line of dancer certified clothes - rather than reallocating the clothing schematics the tailors already have, I think the devs should add to the tailor's repertoire with a new line of craftable items - and these don't neccessarily have to be clothes, we have a huge list there of "props" and entertainer specific articles they develop. Some of those props could even be designated to other crafting professions - like twirling batons toweaponsmiths, or what if the newentertainer cert clothes by tailors can be made in conjunction with an optionalDE chip that makes the hem sparkle, shimmer as if it was sequinnedor some other subtle visual effect? Why not encourage those to be implemented, instead of restricting what we already have?

I like the idea, it would be awesome if we had something what is only ours.

But I do worry about the impact it would have on Tailors.

Also, unless it would be a really large selection of clothing then I would most likely rarely wear it.

Seriously, who really wants to look exactly like the 5 spamming zombies dancing in same cantina with you?

What if *starts dreaming*

Instead of actual tangible clothing it would be only an "illusion" granted by an IDs?

Let's say it would have few charges like holo-emotes, last only 30 min or so and poofed the moment you stop dance/music animating....

It could have a large selection of wild designs we could select colors for...

Cat suits with animal prints..... exotic show-girl outfits with lots of flash.... the feather fan dance outfit.... and so on....

Each illusion trigable only when the level of certification is reached with master having the option to use them all.

Tailors couldn't be mad at us then, coz it would be only "temporarily" outfits and IDs would have something else to do people would want...

**laughs** Interesting.... very interesting...

The only thing I would worry about with this kinda "tangible" clothing would be I'd be so engrossed chatting or focusing on dancing or whatnot, that when the time limit generator cut out, I'd be left.....

**cover up and sidestep out of theexit**

But seriously, these are the kinda great ideas we should be pulling together that add to not just our professions, but others That way everyone wins (or we hope!).

If this were indeed to be the case, then it would almost have to be entirely new clothing items, along with MAYBE the leotard and fleshwrap...

Tailors wouldn't take kindly to having their customers potentially taken away... niether would the people who wear the clothing!

But think of it this way: Clothing is just that: Clothing. Anyone can put on a shirt, pants, dress, etc. Armor actually restricts movement, vision, mobility, etc. This perhaps requires some training to get used to. I suppose complex outfits might too, but somehow I just don't see it as quite the same.

As a person who's alt ( TKM/Doc currently ) fights in a fleshwrap (currently with plate/boots/gloves/helm) I would NOT be happy to see that item of clothing taken away. Especially as with the CU I won't have armour so I'll be fighting just in the wrap *grins*.

Which is indeed where the problem lies with this idea. We can't really take away the clothes already in game, and so tehy would have to add new clothes for this. Oooor, possibly new versions of the same item, but with mods or some special effect.

I prefer the idea of prop certs to a special line of cloths. I'dwant to see any new cloths added be wearible by everyone. For a start on props we could ask for a special line ofimitation weapons and armor

Mmm Actually that could help people grinding weapons. They could have a 'prop' option. Creating no-stat weapons which can be equipped by anyone ( or be dancer certed ).

The original post wasintended to be satirical. A way to show how stupid it is to make armor wearable by certain professions only. Make them better at wearing it than us? sure...but not let us equip parts offavourite outfits anymore? stupid.

I recentley passed my test on a motorbike but i could wear my biker boots before i did it.

We cant take away the clothes already in game? Isn't that what they've done with armor already?
