This is true. That's where I am now. I'm not angry. I sort of switch between sad nostalgia and laughter. Seriously. Every time I find out something new about the CU I laugh, because it's so ludicrous. I'm not mad and I'm not offering any suggestions and ideas because I know there's no point. So, I just sit back and laugh because of the absurdity of the whole thing. I don't think I can feel mad anymore because of the hilarity of the situation.

Same here. The last few days I've been getting a kick out of reading the feedback threads in the Testing forum. Makes me feel like I'm in the movie Groundhog Day. Every single day they're starting these threads, and every single day they go in the same direction with people ranting and raving at them to remove dmg multipliers, the new icons, the hideous particle effects, bring back combat queue, etc etc.
And there is never a reaction by the Devs to that. At the end of the day the thread will be deleted (the official version would be "archived" I guess, but I'm not sure I believe that) and a new one started. Aaaand, we're back to where we were a day ago.

That's actually pretty funny, in a very morbid kind of way. But that's okay - this is a game after all (even if it's one I'm very fond of, or I would have quit already), and it shouldn't give me ulcers. Even though I'm probably not getting my enjoyment right now in any way the designers ever intended

Ok, so Dancer DPT is right out. The devs don't like it, and we don't want to be devs.

If offered the title, I would accept it graciously. Then I would use my authority to withhold all donuts and coffee until Entertainers take their proper iconic place in SWG.

This was one of my personal favorite responses, to a question by Warplex:

"Oh mr. musician developer pro tempore, I feel we have too much content. how will you go about dumbing down our profession?"

And my response:

Dearest Warplex,

Here's some exciting changes coming soon for your profession!

- All instruments nerfed to become conch shells and pennywhistles (still can't color them, either)

- 1 song - "Hammer Time" by MC Hammer

- All instruments, having previously been nerfed to look like conch shells and pennywhistles, shall only emit the sound of a half-broken kazoo filled with water, regardless of what instrument you play.

- What should be the song "Hammer Time" by MC Hammer only produces high-C note, shattering your computer monitor (and any other glassobject nearby, and the monitor ofthe player listening to you)upon striking the first notes. This, of course, is working as intended. We are not responsible for any damage done to your equipment as a result of blah blah blah read the ToS talk to a CSR report a bug and so forth...

- Dancers no longer dance. They only hop on one foot and can raise one arm at a time, but not all at the same time. The foot you are hopping on can be changed by using CTRL+C+L+SHIFT. The arm that you raise can be alternated by using CTRL+ALT+DELETE twice. Changing whatarm you raise is not currently working for some unknown reason, and causes a system reboot. We are looking into it, and please report your observations of the bug in ourtesting forum, so that we can amass 1,000's of messages and useful info on the bug, yet never reply or notify you of the status of said bug, until a hotfix appears out of nowhere years from now.

- Dancers may only wear a simple shirt and striped pants. Skirts are being considered, but not until after Publish 30.

- 6 words - "You cannot Chat while Skill Animating"

-8 words - "You cannot Start Music while not Skill Animating"

And finally....

- 10 minute duration buffs! 10 minute duration buffs for the rest of the year, for no apparent reason! MWA HA HA HA HA. Then, maybe in 2005 or something, we'll consider thinking about looking into the problem with the buffing system. If the moon is full, and Jedis are perfect, and combat has reached it's perfect balance, and we're having pizza for lunch in our staff meeting. Then, and only then, maybe.

hehe I'd forgotten about that one. I believe I read that while drinking Dr. Pepper...seems my keyboard began sticking after that....

ok, but what if you were the dev that all the other devs locked in the broom closet cuz you didn't want to spend all your time programming for the profession that rhymes with "bed-eye" or for the publish that rhymes with "wombat pup-braid" for eternity. would it be ok to be a dev pro tempore then?

Sorry, putting wombat pup-braids into the game is not within the scope of the CU. We will consider it at a later date, though.

The entertainer is an exciting new type of profession in MMO gaming. It is a social based profession where players interact with other players. Thanks for playing Star Wars Galaxies.
