Thread: Not concerned over BF changes in CU?

on the ground you gain BF from cloning only if you clone some place where you don't have your data stored.
And BF has hardly any effect on anything. You can notice it with healing. Then again healing is a free ability that can just be used again. And with group level determining how much damage you take and only fighting things with in a few levels of the group... well there is 0 reason that I can really see for anyone to heal BF. If all your doing is space... no reason to heal it. If your doing group stuff with healers... not really any reason that I have been able to tell to heal it. If anyone has already done tests on BF and it's downside on combat I would love to see it... as from what little testing I have been able to do (CTD thanks SOE) recently I can't tell any downside other then the fact that heals don't heal as much.

You haven't played a Smuggler for the past two years have you?
If you had you'd know why I choke over this quote from you.
Yes, your logic is hard to deny. Thank you for trying to straighten me out with the "Smugglers prove the Devs are evil" theory... again. As always, you give me a lot to think about.

Oh, I wouldn't say anyone at SOE is evil, and the problem probably aren't even the Devs as such... but what I definitely would say is that whoever is in charge of running SWG is either:
a) greedy and only out for the quick buck, and totally uninterested in long-term customer satisfaction, or
b) totally incompetent in running a MMORPG, and unable to formulate aviable concept and stick to it, or
c) both of the above

I would have to say the answer is c. I'm gonna have to disagree with you about the SOE isn't evil part. While some games nerf classes/prof's i've never heard of one that is almost willing to kill a profession off....til i heard of the CU.

I'm one you quoted and I have a Master Smuggler / TKM .
I am quite concerned that our Dancer profession is now mostly useless.
I quite HATE having so much of our tree wasted skill points.
I find it PARTICULARLY egrigious that Master Dancer skill boxes don't factor into health such that a combo with a combat profession is gimped badly.
And I am insulted that we are ignored while Doctors are now considered a combat related profession and enjoy full benefits of increased health.
BasicallySOE has spit in our face and I find it hard to believe they didn't realize they were doing it.
What POSSIBLE problem would there be with giving ALL elite professions the same increases to health?
What and when are we to expect in the way of corrections for the content you sucked out of our Entertainer professions?
And do NOT tell me to be patient...I am also Smuggler and you ran me out of patience LONG ago.

Ailar, you are so smart and your posts are so good when you are really trying to affect change. Please stop letting crazy negative posts by other people suck you in, it makes this glowie cry. You don't want me to cry do you?!? *sniff*
Cin, I'm not sure what you think you saw. I've tested at least every other day since inspirations were patched in and I haven't seen any change yet. I guess it's possible you maybe caught some weird patch that I missed, goodness knows our code has always been weird enough that I can believe that there was some brief window of oddity.
Since the first day though, I have been counting ticks and they have always matched up to what Phydeaux said they would be. The only thing that seems to affect this is the wound healing modifier you gain from training +WH boxes, wearing WH clothes, or being a Twi.
Thedecrease in application time seems to go (in seconds)-
360 (5 minute chunks of duration added per 10 sec tick)
240 (7/8 minute chunks of duration added per 10 sec tick)
180 (10 minute chunks of duration added per 10 sec tick)
90 (20 minute chunks of duration added per 10 sec tick)
80 (25 minute chunks of duration added per 10 sec tick)
60 (30 minute chunks of duration added per 10 sec tick)
50 (40 minute chunks of duration added per 10 sec tick)
30 (60 minute chunks of duration added per 10 sec tick)
The only thing that I've seen that influences when you hit each level is the WH bonus on the char (with the max wound healing of either dance or music determining how much is used depending on which one you are doing). No activity or state seems to affect it at all other than the state of performing (and whether you are dancing or playing music).

Oh yeah, I used to all the time.
For some reason, it only ever really worked well on Tyrant, hehe.

Jeez Panthu, don't put words in my mouth.
I never said "the devs are evil" so don't misquote. The rhetoric is likely lost on anyone that can read what I wrote.
Based on trackrecord only you have to admit that professions that are not considered directly related to the GCW and PvP get 'lost' easily.
I'm glad you have such strong and blind faith but I only go on what I've seen previously. Given that I can't honestly believe that entertainers are going to be 'fixed' any time soon. Basically we were 'sacrificed' for this combat upgrade that has seriously removed depth and richness in order to rightly correct problems with combat.
My issue is that they should NOT have thrown the baby out with the bathwater...I have not yet been logically shown why it was necessary to sacrifice so much.
Do I think the devs are "evil"? No, again I never said that nor implied that. I don't even think they are 'misguided'...I think they are persuing exactly what they want to pursue and that is to try and make this game appeal to more customers that want something less comlicated; just a shoot-'em-up arcade style interactive game.

I apologize, that was not intended to be read as a direct quote. It was merely a summation of my interpretation of the great bulk of your posts.
I do not have this strong and blind faith that things will just fall into place for Dancers that you credit me with, I never have. That is why I became active in trying to help this community be successful in gaining the attention it needs to achieve the improvements and additions it desires. I have stayed active in this goal to this day.
I mean hey, it's not all about the hawtpants and the parties.
