Haha...I tried out this macro on some guildies and it was NOT well recieved. LOL! They thought I was spazzing out or something. Asked me if I could make my head spin around too. They said they would rather wait the 8 mins then watch me spazz out like that again. Of course, not all customers will feel this way but I thought their reaction was hysterical.

Use /macro (name of your macro) instead of the ui action command. No need to waste a tool bar slot on a macro. Also don't forget that you need to /dump to stop any repeating macro.

Not really used Macro's, but I believe

if youjust pull the /startdance line out, and thenManually start Exotic 4before startingthe Macro, it will effectively work the sameway...without the stardance spamming that is created.

Hehe god forbid you you entermanual startdance command. I actually may try this and see how it works with a small 2 second pause. will free up my fingers for chatting while buffing.

This will not work the same way since you're only allowed to flourish 5 times per 8 seconds. Starting and stopping the performance overrides this, and are a must to complete the buff in 30 sec.

Which worked fine? The original macro or taking out /startdance?

well my current macro had one second pauses between flourishes... took a little under 2 and a half minutes to get a 2hour buff.

I'm not an entertainer anymore (former musician) and I know many entertainers don't like this "speed buffing" but I'm going to post it anyway. I'd gladly pay a little extra to get it done in a hurry sometimes. Waiting in a cue for a 8 min Dancer buff, and next... wait in another cue for a 8 minute Musician buff is a waste of time for hunters (while the Doc. buff silently runs out). Dancers and Musicians should have some income I think and buffing at great speed doesn't do any harm in my opinion.
This macro has been posted on some reply in this forum somwhere. I tested it today with a dancer and it gave me a 2 hour double mind stat buff. Keep in mind that this macro might be very annoying to some people in crowded cantinas since it spams startdance/stopdance messages. Hotels might be a nice place to buff.
1. Get your Action/Quickness/Stamina buffed by a doctor.
2. Run this macro after /setperform for about 30 sec (it needs to loop 30 times). Use the /dump command to end macro when done.
This example is for the macro to be placed in Toolbar Slot F1.
/startdance exotic4;
/flo 1;
/flo 2;
/flo 3;
/flo 4;
/flo 5;
/stopdance;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
Musicians can use this macro:
/startmusic virtuoso;
/flo 1;
/flo 2;
/flo 3;
/flo 4;
/flo 5;
/stopmusic;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
Have fun

this has not worked for any entertainer i know... thus i would imagion it is an exploit and you were just lucky you got it to work

I really can't see how this can be an exploit. A Master Dancer or Musician have to use 106 skill points he or she could have invested in a much funner or profitable profession. The ones that stick with it and are actually there doing these buffs are providing a community service and participating in the game. Thats 106 skill points used to have the ability to only buff 1, thats right, 1 stat. With a musician 2 stats.

A Doctor who only spends a few more points can do so much more and make a profit by selling their meds and buffing. Why can't someone who spends so many skill points while dancing or playing buff as fast as a doc. Now even a Master Chef who only has to invest 92 skill points can make alot more credits buffing stats and so much more. Give these folks a break...now they can handle more customers and make some credits providing a service and their skill point investment is worth something.

you must not have read my signature below..... I AM an entertainer. It was not posted as a flame, and i would say no one took it that way. I have been an ent since the begining so all those that you describe are me as well as the 45 member band I run. /shrug

You call it a boring prof via saying they could have invested in a "funner" prof. What you all still don't understand is that to us this IS a fun prof. its not about the sp's we use or the proffit its about the fun for us...

wouldnt it work with thte 2 second pause in between every step in the macro? without the start/stop part I mean, bc that would stay within the 5 flourish per 8 second rule? run 30 times and you got a 5 min buff, without all the star/stop spam. And what about the entertainer food? The one that makes it take less time to buff?

thanks for all the great info btw
