LOL this reminds me of the entertainer panel at last year's Fan Fest. We were discussing our desire for new dances and complete flourishes. Runesabre, who was taking copious notes, asked us if we'd rather have a new dance first, or finished flourishes for our existing dances. Just about the whole room exclaimed "Fix the flourishes!" in unison.

He appeared shocked. Those darn devs...they just don't think like we do.

This gave me a reason to smile today and that is a good thing

Yeah I know it's not everything we wanted and AFK entertainment has not yet been addressed, but it is a step in the right direction and it does give me hope that more things are on the way.

Can't wait to try out the new dances and am considering dropping some merchant so I can be a Master Entertainer.

That Tumble dance - wow. It's not really a dance at all, just a bunch of gymnastic moves. Still cool though! I could imagine my cute purple Twi'lek doing those walkovers and stuff. Ha ha!

Yeah, my friend said the same thing. Looks like a bunch of Gymnastics move you'd see on the Floor exercise at the Olympics, and on the Balance Beam. I love it though. Those are my favorite events! So I think it's pretty cool! ^.^ I hope to see Breakdance soon though, it sounds awesome!

Exactly what I'm thinking.

I mean, yay, I'm glad for this stuff. But like I said in what's turning into a rather nasty thread on the Flurry forum, I don't feel like this is really gonna bring about "postive changes." I want my positive changes.

How many times have we been through this though? Getting to the point where we're all going to just *EXPLODE* from angst over the AFK/bot stuff, so they give us something like this, and then we calm down and start over. As much as I like new stuff, I'm tired of the roller coaster. I don't want to go back down, I want to go up and stay up.

But it's rekindled my hope for at least a week or two

Awhile back with publish 11 someone posted the videos for the dances they had found:

"Break Dance" - breakdance2.wmv - 30MB
"Pei Yi" - 8MB
"Bowie" - 6MB
"Tatooine Jazz" - 5MB - note no fall down animation exists
"Tumble" - 7MB - Note 10 flos, like Popular and Basic also have
"Chinese" - 9MB

I don't know if any one else saved them all, but I can temporarily host these two - please download and watch, don't stream. I don't have the video of breakdance 1 though I know one was made. I'll remove them again in a week. Thanks.

Yeah, I have the files for all the above but not the bandwith to host them all. I could set to upload them over night then take them all down in a few days I guess.

OK well... this is good news. It's not everything we could want, but, we have been asking for 3 of these things since launch, those being (1) get rid of falling, (2) fix the lyrical and formal base dance animations seen by others, and (3) give us more dances and music. So it isn't everything, but two of these (falling and the base dance on our loveliest dances) have been top-10 or top-5 issues repeatedly, so at least they are fixing these. For 2 years they seemed like they were not listening at all. Maybe now they are going to start listening.

This isn't the end of what they need to do by any means, but by my lights, it is a damn good start.

This is a trap. They want to lure us into false hope, to trample on us even harder!
They fixed the dances that moved around! That would actually mean we may really dance formal, theatrical and lyrical now!
No! It must be a trap...

PS: Oh, I hope that you don't feel offended by me being happy should the patch indeed come live. These long expected fixes were always more important to me than the continuous presence of afk entertainers... So, do what thee wilt. I'm gonna party. (if the changes go live)
