Another question I have, a friend of mine (CH) came in and said the buffs were nice, but not really needed for most professions. Made my heart sink. I'm an architect and dancer, so I don't know alot about what professions need what. What other professions really benefit from this, besides doctors? Or was he just wrong?

In the order of need, here is who the buffs are good for

1) Rifleman (use mind fast with specials with their best rifles)

2) Medics of all sorts (use mind relatively slowly, but it still drains)

3) Everyone who PvPs (too counter mind poisons and eyeshot, in particular)

4) Everyone who hunts without massive tank pets (with medic support, mind is the only way you will die)

Creature handlers are the ones who need the buffs least since they rarely get touched in combat do to their pet tanking.

One potential market is groups forming to go do PvP. I'm sure you could make a nice chunk of change offering to buff a group of 15 raiders before they head out on the raid. The passive buff would be adequate since they probably won't live 30 minutes anyway.

I'm not sure if this is working as intended but a number of friends have been pointing out the negative aspect of our buff. Here is an example:

Master Dancer buffed TKA Master is fighting, their mind is below their full base level, our buff expires and the TKA Master is immediately incapped. Not very nice. Without a warning that the buff is expiring alot of tanks/melee types will not want to take the chance and will shun our buff. Do Doctor buffs work this way?

Maybe they're not needed for CH, but medics depend a great deal on Mind pool. I have a friend who is a Carbineer and his specials used to incapacitate him without even being touched by a mob(I call him the "suicide kid") My TK and my scout have gone down more to mind damage than any other cause. Too bad I can't buff myself

What I'm hearing out there leads me to believe that in areas of heavy PvP, Master dancers are highly sought after. You may not get the same demand in a non-PvP hunting region but I know for a fact that groups are now purposely seeking out dancers before they leave base to hunt, and in many cases are taking their dancers with them.

As Ravenmist notes, every buff in the game works this way right now. To me it's completely stupid - if my current mind level is low enough that the buff falling will take me to zero, the game should only take me to ONE and give me a warning message that the buff will fall in x seconds. I can't think of another game I've played where buffs dropping will kill you on the spot.

TK's should love the buff too. I'm a master dancer and part-way up the TK tree and I -really- wish I could buff myself along with everyone else in the hunting group. The usual reason a TK goes down is running out of mind.

Yep, yep...

I my master dancer/master tk ALWAYS dies from mindpool...never anything else...EVER...cause I am always fully doc buffed and the rest of my party is fully mindbuffed of course. What this has done to me essentially is reduced me to the class of 'secondary' tank, even below the much lower damage-dealing non-master classes in the party, because the "girly dancer always dies"..... grrrrrrrr.

Just once, I would like to not be judged on everything else I do in the game based on the fact that I am also a dancer .... and not being able to recieve my own buff...well..it effectively makes me the weakest link.....sigh.

There is another reason that TKM's love the entertainer buffs.

Powerboost.

Powerboost uses the "Current" mind pool to determine the amount of the power boost effect.

I am also a TKM and i know that after i use powerboost i can buff myself handsomely for short bursts. I am very happy about this.

When dr buffs wear off you see the -xx spam over your head for the H&A, and I believe a yellow/gold color -xxxx one shot deal when the secondary's wear off

Every buff in the game is currently bugged this way. Doctors, smugglers spices, chefs food, etc. It should be fixed soon from what I hear, probably be hotpatched within the week.
