Not to answer for the original poster, but I know that many entertainers don't even think about buffing until they reach master, because they don't think that their buffs will be worth anything to anyone at non-full strength. I made a post advising people to start playing with buffing as soon as they reached novice, since it's semi complex to know how to not wonk a buff, but it's not like that post is readily available to people .
But I want to reiterate that many people are more than happy to take even a 10% buff, if that's what's available. All you novices out there, don't sell yourselves short .

Totally agree. In fact, you might find a great market in Mos Eisley or some other new player city - and offer your services to new folks. That little bonus to Mind healing makes a HUGE difference when first starting out in combat (less incapping due to missing your shot 9/10 times). Musicians are handy that way - so people's Mind will get fixed up quickly. Since, even if they're Medic, they can't stim their Mind - all the help they can get is very handy.

I saw a Doctor giving away "bufflets" the other day, too. They were about +700 or so. Really, a great way to learn about buffing, and a great way to help out fellow newer players who don't need STELLAR buffs, just enough to make things a little smoother right out of the starting gate.

No, you don't need a seperate pause for each flourish.

My own macro is just basically:

/flo 2;

/flo 2;

/flo 2;

/flo 2;

/flo 2;

/pause 8;

(repeate for 200 seconds)

You don't want to try doing more flourishes than that per pause 8 though, as that is just wasted effort.

Heh... I still remember my first entertainer macro, just a lot of flourishes with no pauses that I restarted every few seconds. Massive action burn but not very effective.

ok i did that macro and i was wondering when u first start the macro it says u do 5 flourishes liek one after the other real quick. but after a while it just say you perform a flourish once in a while. so i changed the macro to
/flo
/pause 1
and so on is the thing with the flourishes right after the other supposed to say you do a flourish like in groups of five?

sorry if its confising but im very confused

here's the best way to do this

name the macro something like buffflos or soemthing

/flo 2;
/flo 4;
/flo 8;
/flo 3;
/flo 5;
/macro [macro name];

/dump it after 4 mins

You have to /dump that macro because it loops... and if you didn't /dump it, it would just continue running.

Personally, I use a seperate macro to /dump mine, it is simply:

/pause 200;

/say Your buff is done;

/dump;

I start this up right after starting my super flourishing macro and always give a full buff. I have a pause 200 so there is a little extra leeway on the time... technically, it could be a little shorter, but I always figure it's always better to have it run a little longer than I actually need it to.

Warning: when looping macros go away (as is planned), some other means will need to be used to do quick buffs than a macro that loops. I am in the process of developing a set of non-looping macros to accomplish the same things that my current looping macros do.

As for what it should show you doing, it should show that you do sets of 5 flourishes between xp gains (if youhave not yet maxed out yourxp).
