buff bots i think are the natural progression of a game turning a blind eye towards a profession being ...at present, basically 100% function with no one... ever at the controls.

as people have alts, or secondary characters. ...from either buying multiple accounts, having jedi accounts with two characters... or grinding out professions to attain jedi. a lot of people have passed through the entertainer profession.

and while jedi grinding may be a small lingering sore on entertainers... the recent surge of buff bots has nothing to do with holo-grinding.

it's more a condition of laziness... easy money, and effortlessness.

ie: if i can macro a char to master status... and never have to be at the controls. after making master, there are ways to be 100% effective at offering a service to the game... and make a profit.

so someone. ...who may not be using a character at the time, ...has an alt char on a server to spare... or just wants to make money before progressing elsewhere... looks at there options. and thinks... hmm

do absolutely nothing... never have to be there... and still be able to make money, and be the best.

or have to work for your money.

sadly lots of people will choose the easy way. ...now that choice in and of itself is neither good nor bad. ...but what is bad, is the impact that has on other people who choose not to do that.
