But seriously, there are too many stickies. It would probably only take 20 minutes to make a post linking to all the current stickies, name it "unstickied stickies" and sticky it (and unsticky the stickies) because the current list of stickies has become quite a sticky situation, I meen, how many of them can you remove? They all seem pretty relavent. Except for this one...

Okay, had a little too much fun saying that XD We're gunna need some heavy duty solvent to clean this up.

Nah..but my plan has been to take a blow torch to the whole damn thing on Friday.

So...two posts are created regarding the use of 'stickies,' one saying there are too many...one not enough...when in fact, there really are too many...AS WELL, both of those get stickied.

Let me just say, as a systems/database administrator, the sheer amount of accounts I would have to suspend based on the total waste of server space here would be astounding.

Correct, I am not at work. I do like to read things in here to be honest, but, when you fill up the page with useless information that I am forced to scroll through, it is not very pleasing. I would seriously question your competence as a correspondent if you sticky two useless threads. That really is not very appropriate.

Fun != uselessness.. (For the non-mathematically/logic inclined, fun is not equal to uselessness.).

Anyway, the biggest problem with this forum is the lack of information that you can really get to. I think most forget that the search feature many times (I would rather say almost always) does not work. This forces new players to create threads asking for (*gasp* of all things) macros, tips, etc. I and others see those posts deleted almost instantaneously...simply because of the pompous attitude that is prevalent here.

Yet...two entirely useless threads are created, replied to, and stickied. Please show me why myself or anyone else who would be new to this game and these forums should not be a bit frustrated.

*Chuckles* Because you can come here and at first glance see what a great community we have. We're not just players of a game, we're friends who take time out of our schedule to play, to tease, to have fun...and to do business as well.

This is exactly what a new player needs to see, because the social life is an integral part of the Entertainer professions.

Hmm, I don't remember any instructions being given on Sticky guidelines outside of the Corr Forum... which I don't think you've ever even seen since you aren't a blue tag, so I'm thinking it would be pretty hard for you to know what's appropriate.

Also, (and see, I do know this, because I was schooled on the art of the sticky when I was a corr) it goes pretty much by the community mood what is appropriate... and most of us who actually post as a part of this community think that Eshie's extra stickies are funny.

As for Eshie not being a good corr, what are you smoking? She has gotten results for us that RM, Deila, and myself (the only other DCs we've ever had) would have loved to bring for this community. Eshie kicks butt as DC and I'm so glad we got her.

She said she was going to redo the stickies on Friday, chill the heck out. /glare

I believe you missed the part where I said I browse these forums a lot...I had my own Dancer that I played on at the keyboard for a long time now..almost from the start.

Anyway, I fail to see how having fun relates to putting worthless things on a forum...but I guess that is beyond my comprehension. Also, there is a difference between having fun with friends and socializing, and forming a rather small clique that is, without a doubt, quite rude. If this is what you want a new player to see, I am quite afraid.
