If your still working on EH get out there and BUFF. Double XP+ the now crappy 5% (which I would hope would be based off the total XP) will mean people will be grinding like crazy to get their templates done so this is your last chance for a long while to really make EH and finish that off.

Heh, it's probably because LA will be watching the first week to see how many players actually LOVE the CU enough to keep logging in.
This way SOE gets players to use the servers more than normal that first week so they get a hearty congrats from their masters at LA. Then, of course, they pull the plug and give us back the horrendously boring exp grind the CU really is.

I don't need the xp but I really could use 14 more skill points. How about giving me that instead SOE?

i wouldn't put it past them to deny us the 2x xp since they seemed to have forgot about us for the WHOLE of the CU

Actually my line of thought here is that this may well use the same mechanics as the inspiration buffs. Would be an easy way for them to handle this - just have everyone automatically inspired for a week, and set the bonus to 100%.And as we know, inspiration does not apply to music/dance xp (unless that's changed recently).

I'm gonna use the opportunity to grind some FS xp. Harvesting will be capped at over one million and I'm hoping they havnet changed the FS conversion rate yet....hehe. Even if I can only finish the Luck line for xp that will be one step closer to an alt I will make a Ranger and a jedi I will use as a exiled drunken jedi who stumbled into some old jedi robes and keeps begging for money. lol

it's almost too easy at this point, i was going to say something about already getting double xp by not wearing pants, but i decided not to because quadruple xp would just be crazy!
p.s. it may be time to let the joke die, or have it stop taking visitors for a time.

Well as Dariane, it's of no use to get xp for FS.... Only my (to be) Markman 4--4 skills would be giving rifle/combat xp, but in such little amounts that I cannot begin to believe I might actually fill ER: Survival I box. And all the scouting xp and ch xp is going to waste on HS (since I do not have the Luck quest unlocked yet, so maybe I could try to do it...)
I guess it is time for my alternative EaveP to get some much needed crafting XP for her CM boxes...
As she will also be the least gimped character post CU.

Entertainers still can't use inspiration buffs because the code thinks we're still in the process of getting and/or updating the buff... if it were to be changed so that once you get it, you let it wear down before another can be applied... then we'd be set.
Unfortunatly, SOE was looking out for the combat professions when the buffs were designed, they can be recharged on their time.
Edit: I'm trying to be optimistic that we'll get the double xp

Just so you guys know, its not 1 xp to 2 xp..
I play a Master Dancer on Corbantis. Dancer was the first prof i got, and if anything ever happens to make me drop it, thats the day i quit
So what do i do with the rest of my skill points? For a while i was a doctor, then i dropped it and took up pistoleer for a while... then i took a break from the game to try otu Eq2... that lasted abotu 3 months before i quit and came back.
When i came back (about 3 months ago), i took doctoring back up, joined anew guild (my old one was dead), and had some fun. But after a while, I got the itch to join my guild (which is a roleplay based group of people) on their various military hunts. So, i took pistoleer back up and mastered it just in time for the CU to hit.
Long story short, I've been around for a while, and I'm not exactly an uber character, nor do I consider myself all that great of a player, but I am open minded, and i'm not grind oriented.
WIth my master pistoleer, and my dancer, and my few boxes of medic, i work out to be level 55. I went out hunting some level 57 critters that i picked up amission for.
Soloing them was not difficult using all my abilities carefully to do some crowd control and make sure I wasnt getting hit too hard.
Experience?
4400 pistol weapons
440 combat.
440 combat.
Each.
I cleared the lair in about 15 minutes.
I dont know what everyone is talking about with this 1 xp business because i had a lot of fun with this encounter and it wasnt nuts. I was taking damage fairly evenly and was able to pull one monster at a time to kill.
I think all the people who are dying so fast need to take a breath and learn the new system before they try to use old tactics in a new world.
