Oh, and just a little plug for the first Entertainer Awareness Day event being held on Bria in the Coronnet Theatre this Sunday at 4pm ET. We are asking that as many dance/musician/ent. masters (along withthose with novice musician and dancer) attend as possible to offer training, inspiration and awareness of our profto new ents and non-ents. We are encouraging non-ents to pick up the novice entertainer skill and find out how much fun entertaining can be and what a nice group of LIVE people we are. We are also asking for some tailors to attend and provide clothing for the newer ents, as well as for established ents to donate costumes. Come prepared to have fun and make new friends!
Oh I think that's a great idea! ![]()
It might get missed in this thread as just a plugthough, please promote it in a new thread if you have time! My girl is pretty poor on Bria (read low profile ratty dancer
), but I think I'll have to pop in and check this event out!

its only started in the last month and a half really before that the atk dancer would dance out there to avoid all the afkes and catch the people as they come in but alas the afkers decided to do it to now anytime you go to the cantina in coronett you get super evil lag if you forget to use the back door. and for all those afkers who said the atk dancers can just dance elsewhere no no we cant as proven vby this you just follow us.
I get the "super evil lag" regardless of where I enter the big cantinas. I have a relatively new computer with lots of ram, so I have to assume it's my awful connection (26.4-Kbps connection, for reasons I won't go into). I think the visual lag is a ram issue, whereas the lag I'm getting is due to the strain of 60 entertainers all mechanically inputting flourishes precisely every x.x seconds; that's a whole lot of bandwidth being used up. My ping goes from 230ish to well over 5000 with 20% packet loss the moment the door (front or back) opens. I tend to hear cantina chat up to five minutes after I've left, even as far away as 2000m.
I guess I'm lucky I mastered before holocrons hit, because I'd have quit in a heartbeat if it'd been like this when I started. I'm still semi-retired for the usual reasons, but it must be extremely disheartening for new entertainers who don't have access to broadband.
