I think they started doing it in hopes to get the attention of the patrons. Healing xp is getting so hard to come by anymore. The thought seems to be if someone with battle fatigue comes in the front door and sees entertainers right there, they won't go any farther, and the doorway players will get the healing xp.

Of course it's actually had the opposite effect. People come in the front door, see the mob of mostly AFK spambots, and either a.) get torked off and leave all together, or b.) come into the main cantina and try to find someone who's actually at the keyboard.

Ahazi has it in both Theed and Coronet.

Originally I thought it may be due to the fact that it's a bit tidyer than standing in the middle of the main floor, but now it's just ridiculous. ::Sigh::

And in theed I had been there for months and one day go up to the second step and that funny little half dome niche.... next thing I know there's 6 people there, all AFK. Now if I head there, someone else stops playing and runs up there to 'get there first' I guess they thought it was a 'prime' spot. ...but usually no one sees you there. (I was using it because of that, I wanted to dance and chat with a friend but not be swamped, people tended to run by me and for thta week or so I was glad of it.)

This has been happening on Lowca for months. It's quite painful walking into a cantina now just to get through that lag, and I have a pretty good computer. I can't even imagine what it's like with someone that has a not so good PC
