I love doing /distract 1 to the downbeat on waltz. Now if just everyone else heard and saw the same thing.

Inside my heart is breaking, my make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die
I can fly - my friends

For each level in Techniques, the effect will look different. You can play the different effects using /dazzle 1, /dazzle 2, etc.

Close.

Each of the effects has 3 different levels to them, that are added to your repertoire as you gain Technique skills. The default /dazzle that you perform will be done at the highest level that you know, though you can specify a particular effect by adding the level number to your command. To go back and use the dazzle with the rings, type /dazzle 1, and you'll do the first one you mentioned. Same with all of the other effects, adding more variants as you gain higher Techniques skills.

I think there are 4 different versions of each of the effects: dazzle, ooloredlights, smoke, and distract. The default one I think is the highest level you can do, but you can designate which one you do by adding a number 1-4 after the slash command for the effect like /dazz 2.

OK... so I went from 0444 dancer earlier this week to 1444 and I was trying out my new effects. I was blown away by how cool /dazzle looked w/ the rings of colored light etc!

Anyway I trained in 2xxx yesterday and the dazzle effect looks way different now (worse IMO.) Anyone noticed this or know why? I have scoured the forum here for info...

Thank you!

I prefer using Dazzle 1, even as master. You are right, I think the rings look really neat!

Tip... try about a /pause 2 after hitting the smoke effect for the clothes change.

Touchy touchy thing, it can leave you standing in your undies in the cantina if you're not careful.

Ventriloquism is actually an exception that doesn't have 3 levels.

Actually, Ventriloquism does have 3 levels. I just updated theGalaxies Variety site to reflect the three. The first is a basic flare of light behind the performer with one or two red circles coming from it & going up. The second has a flare that sends a shower of stars crowned by 3 or 4 of the red circles. Last is a flare from which many of the red circles break from the flare and go in all directions.
(this is with particle effects turned to 100%, the effects probably look more similar when the particle effects are turned down.)

That's true, but just... well, be careful.

Big thing to remember (if it isn't obvious, but I'm sometimes surprised thatalot ofpeople that I talk todon't know this) is that toolbar slots used for items (i.e., clothing)work like a toggle; equip, unequip, equip, unequip, etc. Remember that when planning your clothes changes. Then, practice them in private several times to be sure... saves a trip to the ID salon to remove the redness from your face later on.
