Drifting while doing the lyical and formal dances can actually be fixed quite easily. You simply need to make sure you start all your flourishes at the same place. You see, the flourishes always take you back to where you were when you started them it's only the base dance that makes you drift.

It's really not very hard when you get the hang of it. If you need to see a pro do it come over to Kettemoor sometime and watch Tiaga.

Uh, most of usknow how to skip the idle dance by stringing flos back to back before we ever even hit master. Tiaga likes these dances because he likes the style, so he uses them often and does just that. He hates this bug worse than anyone else I know though and spent a massive amount of time explaining what was happening to me many months ago. He has bugged the Devs about this more than Raven or I ever have I think.

Even if they were working correctly and did not have this problem, some people would still choose not to use them either because they don't care for the style of dance or because the drift makes them impractical for crowded Cantina or limited space areas (small camps, OPs). That's not the issue any of us are reporting to the Devs though. That's just a good reason for allowing us to call any of our learned flourishes from any base dance and giving us movement controls like the forward/back/left/right and so on Sultrina used to describe wantingfor us so eloquently.

I'm really glad I've been working so hard (and dropping my HIGHLY valued skills to get some Combat skills *shudder*) to get glowing with the Force, just to WASTE half my xp to convert to Force Sensitivity, for a new SONG and DANCE we deserve and desperately NEED at this point.

And, to top it off, the new dance is broken.

This is one of the most disappointing decisions by the Devs I've ever seen made.

I'd like to fly to Austin, to personally thank all of the Devsfor setting me further back in gaining Force Sensitive XP -delaying me for a LONG time compared to every other player attempting to gain a Jedi. I'm sorry, but playing ATK and gaining 400k xp is no easy task. It takes a long time. It's a LOT of entertaining.

I would very much like to know why Entertainers are being penalized while trying to obtain a Jedi character.

I await their response.

You aren't holding your breath, I hope, Warr . . . .

Well, I realized that it was not right to judge the dance before I even tried it (although watching it is somewhat painful). So I am going for the quest on TC. I don't have master dancer there, but who knows . . .

Nope, but I'm holding Warryyr's $15 monthly subscription fee close by until I hear further on this.

Seriously, if we do their quests, we deserve our new content.

It's also completely stupid that a Novice Musician or Dancer can complete the quests, yet their xp is capped at 125k. So they won't even be rewarded. Even more inexcusable.

I'm not paying forthis game to be disadvantaged compared to other professions pursuing Jedi. If I'm an Entertainer, I deserve to get new content to continue to be entertaining. There's no reason for the xp requirement. If it's not removed, well, not sure how I'll proceed or what action I'll take.

I have not yet asked about this since I just found out about the XP Req myself, but I had the same thought when I saw it. Unfortunately, I don't think you would like the answer that I would get if I did ask and I'm not even sure that I should ask about it given the answers we have been given in the Corr Forum on FS/Jedi path as Ents.

We have been told to "respec" our chars for the Village... Entertainers have been excluded on purpose and you are only meant to go through the Village as an Artisan, Medic, or Combatant. It's not even about us being non-Combat at this point, it's about us not being the right kind of non-Combat to be included. We have to "respec" to Medic or Artisan for a non-Combat FS Path and Village Content.

That is completely mind boggling for myself as well considering that we were told over and over again that this content would include everyone. Once again, "everyone" doesn't seem to mean Ents.

The snubbing over the Village Content still has me feeling very frustrated. I appreciate that the Devs feel like we are a special and unique group of Professions and Playstyles in the Ent Community, I'm just ready to see it starting to work in our favor. Up until this point, it seems to only be alienating and excluding us from fun parts of the game with out offering us any unique attention or rewards in return.

The rare bones we are thrown in the way of these Ent Quests or Ent Droids are just very hard to appreciate considering that they have little to do with our actual requests and feedback in their finished forms. Sort of like the whole ID Stat Migration Mess, uhg, what a twisting of an ID request that was.

Anyway, yeah, go let them know about any and all of your concerns dealing with these Quests in the Feedback thread linked to above. Do not hold back, please mention all of your concerns, do be polite though.

This is over the top. Tell them that "special" doesn't mean they took us to school on the short bus.

(scuse my impatience..it's been a rough one..lately buff bots seems to feel they've more a right to my cantina than I do)

My first thought when discussing this with others last week was that it was due to all of our xp gaining mechanics being AFKable, ie: they didn't want players being able to AFK their way to Jedi. This would be a valid argument except that as the situation stands, players can AFK their way through an awful lot of FS branches using xp earned in the entertainer professions. The only other rationalizations I can find for this is that the devs would preferwe just all left the game or theyare more than slightly addled.

Now with another broken dance, the xp requirement to learn it and all the additional bs we've been having to put up with, I'm starting to get the impression that there is something really weird going on here.

Yeah

Devs...

Time to sleep and maybe dream of a Jedi. Might be the only way I'll ever get one.

Well I've come this far so I will stay a little longer, but it maynot be much. I simply can't fathom why we would need to give up XP to gain content , the idea is simply absurd. That would have to be one HECK of an awesome dance to be worth it. From what I'm hearing it doesnt seem to be. Also with no Jedi content aimed at Ents it appears the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer. In fact it appears to forming a word. I hope its not EXIT.

I know how you feel, sis . . . just before Naboo (TC) crashed yesterday evening I was bending poor NewJedi's ear over the fact that the "Entertainer" quest isn't for entertainers - it's for the elite classes. If you are only a Master Entertainer (or below in level) you are out of luck getting the new song or dance. You must have Novice and you must have the 400k xp.

In a word - STUPID!!!!!

I enjoy this game. I love Star Wars. I adore the friends I've made ingame. I am, however, getting close to the point of giving up. I am tired of being treated as if I am a waste of time instead of a customer. Honestly - the game isn't keeping me here anymore - the friends I've made are. And that indeed does make it an expensive chat room . . .

(See, NJ - I told you there was a reason I wasn't a corr . . . )

Are these 400k XP so much to ask for? Even if you play rather seldom it shouldn't take more than a month to earn them... that wouldn't be too much to ask for.
Well it wouldn't if the dance wasn't broken... and all the dances we already have weren't broken, incomplete or simply ugly knitted together in the five minutes before lunch break.

I think we pretty much all feel we'd be willing to give up a whole lot more for something that actually worked!

And it apparently is a lot to those who want to use their XP for FS. It isnt' right to force entertainers to regain XP that no other proffession has to give up for a reward.
