I've failed the last performance four times now. The last two times, I brought friends along so they could help me talk to the audience and tell me what to do. I followed Delia's (sp?) instructions to the letter. I got one dance to do, two flourishes, and one dance NOT to do. I did only that dance, only those flourishes, and spammed the hell out of 'em. And I still failed.
I'm getting seriously pissed off.

Switching Dances or songs is not a must to pass. Switching Flos and sticking with the one dance will pass you.
Even when I was given two songs they liked I only played one of them and cranked away on Flo's and passed.
The last performance I was given one Flo and one Dance they liked and just passed. I stayed with the one dance but did the flo they liked #7 and avoided the flo they disliked #8 I avoided so I did something like....7-1-7-2-7-3-7-4-7-5-7-6...etc...
If you have a situation where they like two flo's say 7 and 8 try something like 7-8-1-7-8-2-7-8-3..etc..

Delia wrote a guide based on her experience with it. She did not deviate from the 'good' flo's and 'good' dances. And she always passed. The truth is, it seems to be different for everyone. Some people pass when they mix it up and just avoid the bad stuff. Some people pass when they do only the good ones. And some people, like me, fail no matter what they try. Maybe I should try giving the audience members a lapdance.

It is also very possible that they changed the code and the success conditions since these things were last tested on TC.
Some supporting evidence - every time I tested on TC, the audience members were sitting correctly in their seats - not floating out in the aisles, buried in the chairs, behind them, etc. Every time, all of the necessary bits ofinformation were provided- and that clearly isn't happening any more. And we know that they pulled Formal and Lyrical out of at least some parts of the quests late in the game, or so we were told - and that's getting in there and messing with the code.
Both times that I went through the quests on TC, once back when they first snuck in there and again after the rewards went in, the method that I've presented worked easily... too easily. And, I did tell a few people how to do it back then. Never know... word could easily have gotten back to the devs that there was a simple method to getting past the hoops here, which may have encouraged them to change the success process.
I've only done the first performance since the quests went live. And that really was just to check out for myself reports that audience members weren't always providing the needed info to pass (I was given one good dance and one good flo), as I really don't intend to shell out 400k XP for a broken reward. The flo spamming thing worked fine then as well, though the needed score (now invisible) to satisfy the audience is much higher on the second or third performances.
At the end of the day, if it ain't workin'... try something else. Based on a lot of people's testimony, it looks like several things have changed since things were tested... some may be intentional, others not.

I used Delia's method last night on my first and second performances, and it worked like a charm for the first performance. It barely worked for the second performance, but I managed to pull a success right before the show time ended. I about busted my keyboard too spamming those flourishes.
I failed the first performance twice in a row, and didn't bother to try it again on Sunday to see if I could pass it then. It really does just seem to be luck of the draw. I'm positively dreading that third performance.

This is how they fixed the dance. They made it so nobody can pass the auditions.

Toclarify something, is this per exp tick so it would be like: flo 7 10 secs/xp tick, flo 1 10 secs/exp tick etc. Or 7-1-7-2-7 xp 7-3-7-4-7 etc?

I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, that it's stacking flourishes. That's how I've been doing it, and I just passed my third performance tonight. I stacked the flourishes five at a time. It's easier to know you've stacked them with musician as it plays the stacked flourishes.

Yes as Rayill said stack them 5 at a time like you would for a buff since the server will still register them but you just won't see them.
I just wish more of you all were on Corbantis as I'd love to go help more
I was lucky to have some great friends such as Elwyn that helped me with polling the audienceand it makes such a huge difference.

Ohhhhhhhhhh!!! I have an idea.
I really feel for those people still struggling so here is a thought. Post on here the next time you think you want to try it and if you need help with audience polling I would be happy to make a new toon on whatever server to help!!
Maybe post the time and time zone or send me a cross server tell and if I'm on I would be happy to create a toon to come help if anyone needs it.

Failed the first performance for the fourth time on Sunrunner last night. But hey, this time I was at least given a flourish they do like and a flourish they don't like, so I got up as far as neutral. Sigh...
All I know is, if it's taking me this long just to do the FIRST performance... I'm going to probably have to be committed for my new-found insanity by the time I complete the third.

I am starting to think that certain characters are bugged. The same people, including myself, are having nothing but problems while other pass relatively easily.
