I have four dancers on four different servers (yes I am an addict, someone help me please ) but Shadowfire is my home and always will be.
I guess what I like about it the best is an overall maturity level of most players.
Sure we have our share of l33t-jerks and spammers but overall the server has a very close knit and family feel to it.

Personally I would suggest checking out Tarquinas - which you will notice that MY entertainer is actually on Kauri.

Check out the Tarquinas forums, you'll note we have 2 RP threads stickied - I've noticed on the servers I've played on that the more roleplayers the better the entertainer community. Theed cantina usually has an above average ATK population on Tarquinas... and as a small server you'll never have the issues of horrible lag forcing you to lower the graphics quality on your beautiful character. just my humble opinion - good luck in your quest wherever it takes you!!

Just so Flurry doesn't get forgotten in the mix...lol

I'd say....hrm...we're probably 50/50. If you surveyed every player, the live v. AFK preference would split about down the middle. I think the recent actions of several of Flurry's larger performers, including Eaca, Doriana, and others, have really pushed the live v. AFK debate into the spotlight for combatants....and I'm proud to say that, surprisingly enough, a lot of them are making the right choice.

However, Flurry still has a LONG way to go...so, Shadowfire may be a better option, for now.

Omg, it's veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery small But I love the cozy atmosphere. Nearly everybody is friendly, since (to me) it feels like an event to simply run into another player! Just kidding. It's not that small. However, from what I've noticed, everybody feels like they're your neighbor. Spamming isn't a huge problem like it is on Chilastra, Bria, and (definitely) Ahazi. People have actually tipped me for performing as a ****Novice Musician****, and tipped me quite well.

I'm really in love with the server and will probably be splitting my time between Chilastra, Bria, Ahazi, Shadowfire, and one otherhome that's going to be purely combat-oriented.

So, in my opinion....if you're looking for alot of entertainers and events, go for Bria. If you're looking for a smaller home witha great atmosphere, make another character on Shadowfire

You created a character on Shadowfire? j/k By the way, you even made it into the photo gallery of the cantina opening for my guild. It's true, tipping is making a big come back on Shadowfire. It had dropped off for quite a while but I think we lost many of our "jerkier" players either to other more populated servers or to other "we cater to jerks" style games

Cheers,

Ikewe

Is that what that was for? All I heard was "party" and I was there!

Made a correction for you, there, Danny

I agree, though, flurry runs hot and cold. Huge points for having a great group of fun ATKers but quite a large number of both public and private bots -- some of which I am pretty sure will sit ATK and run a bot script even after macro changes. So we have a lotta work to do, though we do have the core of good people needed to do it.

I wish I could say Gorath.. but the good entertainment seem to be limited to events more so than regular places.

The RP is great there at least.

I have a dancer on Shadowfire and everyone in the Coronet cantina is very nice performers and customers alike.

Having only been a customer on Lowca,I would say that Lowca is very bad for entertainers, 2 times in the last week I went in for healing and said hi with no response, then someone comes ina few minutes later and has a conversation with the same entertainer.

I also had one entertainer leave while I was watching without a word.

Oh well, 10k tip for someone else.

I'm sure I've accidently done this to someone, too -- many masters are capped on exp so we have no way to tell when someone is watching us. Could be that the person just didn't realize you were watching!

Hmm, I used to be capped then I went and met the villagers, "capping" used to be an achievement, a benchmark...now its a trip to an ugly little place where the sun never shines.

Oh yeah....Shadowfire is a great place for Ents to fel as if they are a part of the entire game, GCW and otherwise. I have toons elsewhere, Gorath, Eclipse, Scylla, Flurry, Bria and Radiant and i have never found an atmosphere as comfortable and friendly as Shadowfire's ... plus we have our own "Radio" Station! I am of course biased to Corbantis. We have a great group of ATK players and jam at one place or another every day. We have too much fun and love helping new entertainers learnthe art (although finding out someone yuo invest time in turns into a bot is heartbreaking ) Come check out Theed cantina on Corbantis sometime, love to have you !
