John..that is Awesome!
When I'm in a group and the leader goes afk, I offer to start another group and disband. If anyone wants to join they can let me know & I'll send an invite. If anyone goes afk while I'm leader, they're doing so with the knowledge that they are going to be in the pool of people to be dropped in favor of an ATK player (I make this clear). It is amazing how players are staying ATKlonger now and how much more polite they are when they decide to go afk.
I'm aware I've compelled some to get rather huffy toward me..but I'm playing to enjoy my spare time..not to babysit their cadaver while they go shopping.
Something I've noticed more of just lately is people coming in, grouping and then leaving for a combat mission. I'm wondering if this is another version of group solo missions? It is darned annoying as they get out of range and can't be bumped from the group to bring in another entertainer.

There are a lot of inconsiderate people that play this game. It is entirely possible that the AFK group leader was given the group lead while AFK. I have seen this happen a lot asI have beentraining my newest entertainer.
Most likely "Jill" is either looking for the badge ASAPor a buffbot second account for a combat player who has no time to be bothered with being in a nonproductive (non 20 member)group. These players will cycle through all of the busy cantinas until they are invited to the big group. Never expect a thank you or even an acknowledgement when you speak to this type of player. They are selfish to the core and not looking to socialize for one moment.

I came across those afk leaders too, once or twice.
I just ask around for an intive if I get none I leave and go somewhere else. My usual cantina has a atk group most of the times and it's great. There are some people who I already know for some time and it's fun in the chat. If the leader goes offline for longer than say 10 minutes he makes someone else leader until he /she returns... It works great most times so far. :=)
I don't join afk groups.
And I don't go after the size of a group. I even dance alone if no one is there... It's still about entertaining and fun... for me anyway...

The thing that really bugs meis theabsolute silence you get when you ask for a group invite half the time. I wish someone would at least have the courtesy to say "the group is full" or "the leader is AFK". If I'm in a group and there's a reason why no invites are going out (such as the leader isn't paying attention again), I will always let people know.

Had that too, I sometimes get really angry, when I don't get ANY reaction. It's so rude...
