Thread: New Inspirations on TC!
One thing you might want to bring up is the total lack of system messages when buffing.I think both the patron and the entertainer would benefit from a system message similar to this:
Patron:
You are receiving <Buff name> from <Entertainer>
You have received <duration> minutes of <Buff name> from <Entertainer>

You cannot have more than one Inspiration typeat a time. If you have one type of Inspiration and get another, the second will overwrite the first.
The overwrite is nice, glad they did that since we don't have the ability to kill buffs.
Ok, good news is you'll need a third party clicker to bot these new buffs, so as long as it's enforced by CS, Buff Bots should be gone! Yay!
Bad news is, people are still being more encouraged to have a buff alt than pick up the skills themselves since we can't buff ourselves. We already made the case for self buffing many moons ago and got it approved, hopefully they will change this. We should be allowed to buff ourselves just like any other prof gets to use their items or services themselves.
Social players don't need to be forced to interact, we already want to.
Esh told me to post about the old stuff, so I did here.
Other than freaking out over this, I think these new buffs are awesome though! ![]()

Something else we didn't check out..can you provide Inspiration to more than one player at a time?
Wow, some of those new buffs are sexy.
My Musician will probably get a lot more business after this seeing as there are hardly any master musicians actually playing music these days.
I have not been able to “take” it all in yet, so far it looks ok, but I cant wait for more details. So basically the jury is still out till I get a chance to try it ![]()
One question however….. you say the different buffs wont stack. As in Passive Inspiration plus one of the new one? Or just assorted two of the new ones? If second is the case then fine, however if the first scenario is true then I don’t like it much.

Ooh yeah, that's important to know.
You can. Tested with giving two players the same buff and giving two players different buffs.
Oh, and expect a LOT of business from architects....Using an inspiration buff on making a Light OMU and then on the final build so both were 100% experimented I managed to put together a BER 11 medium mineral ![]()
Other crafters I'm sure will get them, but not as vital to them as it is to architects, master music/dance probably won't (unless FS grinding), ID's will (50 emotes)
We will have to be careful with out patrons though - make sure they are only listening/watching us and not anyone else, otherwise as soon as they stop being buffed by us the other entertainer will wipe out the buff ![]()

One buff at a time only, as soon as you start getting a new buff it wipes out all currently held buffs
That's why the new ones have higher % than the lower ones.
I liked about the inspiration buff that we all could give the same buff, and noone would come to me "yeah I see you're dancing, but I need a Music buff, can't you play music?"

You're such a good tester! ![]()
As I said I'm not completely happy with the fact that the buffs are split again.
Right now it seems to be like this:
Musician - General, Artisan, Ent, Arch, DE, WS, SW, AS & Dancer
Dancer - General, Artisan, Ent, Chef, Tailor, BE, Merchant, ID & musician
Lets keep that like this till the novice boxes, then add new "professions" to the Dance Enhancement line.
Like this (illustrated at example of dancer, works for Musicians too, just with reversed skills)
Novice Entertainer: General, Artisan, Entertainer
Novice Dancer: Chef, Tailor, BE, Merchant, ID, Musician
Dance Enhancement 1: Dancer (yeah lets give us our own buff pretty early
Dance Enhancement 2: Architect
Dance Enhancement 3: Droid Eng
Dance Enhancement 4: Shipwright
Master Dancer: Armorsmith, Weaponsmith
The order of it can be changed, and the "double skill" given at another box (like Dancer+Architect in Dance Enhancement 1 or so)
For Musicians it would be the same just that they get the Dancer-buffs spread over their Enhancement line.
The effect would be that at Novice you can only buff parts, but a Double Novice can do all (but has to switch between music/dance to do so), and a Master Musician or Master Dancer can do every buff without switching.
Also make Masters buff faster than Novices, and Double Masters faster than single Masters.
