Iwonder if someone started making racial slurs if people would say "its just a game". It's funny how some would rather fight for the right to be obnoxious than for the right to not be exposed to ofensive behavior.

If anything the fact that it's a game seems to be more of a reason you shouldn't be forced to put up with ofensive behavior. You have to put up with it in reality everyday, why should you have to in an environment thats suposed to have comunity standards against it. In fact if you read the rules of conduct which ill quote here:

1. Again, foul language is not permitted, in any language.

Excessive use of foul language in an inappropriate context, including swear words, real-world racial slurs, and other language that is not consistent with the fantasy environment and designed to hurt, will be considered a disruption. The existence of any chat/text filtering function is not a license to be profane.

You will see that the existance of a swear filter does not give you a right to be obscene, and noone is a "jerk" for chosing to report such behavior.

Do I have to take screenshots to report this behavior or just hope soe can find what was said to me or others.

SOE does not take screenshots as valid reports since they can be doctored. You need to do /report if you are THAT offended.

but back on topic, how many people have been playing, and accidently said oh sh**, or something along those lines, if you are in a good fight, and all of a sudden two or three things spawn, or walk by, and attack you, whilst you're in the heat of the moment of battle? i know i have.

i also tend to be a little leinient with the report, unless there is excessive swearing, (meaning more than three vulgarity's in one sentance, or are using it repetively in a conversation, like for every other word, or sentance.). i also know there is alot worse stuff out there than hearing the odd cuss word, like racial slurs, or sexual harassment, which i have seen alot of.

I believe that waqs the original poster's point, that hte people i question were swearing in a repeated and deliberate fashion that ofended him, not acidentaly.
