If noone truly cared, this post would not have a single response.

So the current list of people who care is currently the poet, vionerd, vionerd's alt, the feminist (or is that the poet?), NeoTheHutt, and naturally myself since I also posted.

Anyone else care?

Count me in as those that care. Still to stubborn to go just yet, but its hard to keep a positive attitude about things anymore. I wish they'd put me in charge of this game for a week, I'd have us straightened out quick. Well, might take more the a week to fix everything but I could sure set all the right things in motion at least. I may have the loudest voice out of the group being a Correspondent but ultimately I have no real power to make the changes we need and it drives me nuts. I just hope my voice is loud enough to get some changes made before theres no longer any point to trying...

Will miss any dancers that leave, and yes I do care and I'm proud of it.

I may not have known you or met you, but anytime we lose another fellow Entertainer due to these kinds of problems, many of us are saddened.

I've seen this problem happen far too often, where a live entertainer cannot get into a group filled with AFKers. The worst thing is thatthe new players that are just starting to play the game, encounter these kind of situations, and either become discouraged (because they have difficulty getting into groups, receive no responses from AFK group members when asking for training, have difficulty getting tips because they are likely lost in a crowd of mostly AFK performers, etc...), OR even worse, they accept and embrace AFKing along with everyone else.

Neo. I have read posts where you discuss how 'mean' these forums are and the posters here are, and you have not shown yourself to be any better. Effectively making a point requires a person to live up to what they claim. Otherwise their statements, no matter how true and noble, are seen as rubbish.

The proverbial fiftyplus one in the dancer community care. Meaning the majority rules.

I care too

because I can feel with vionerd.

I bought this game only, because there is the entertainer profession, not because there is a jedi profession (ok I am a minority).

To be honest. In DAoC I have better PvP , have better loot, better fighting and group taktic.

Here I have the entertainer profession and better possibilities to roleplay. If this vanishes I will vanish too.

nooooo !!!!!!!!! val u cannot leave ! u cannot give up ! ahhh ! we can fight the afk ! we dancers must unite and take a stand! when we danced in front of the starport with all those people....it made an impact ! perhaps a small impact but an impact nontheless ! you cannot leave and let the afk defeat you! we have to be stronger than that. many people who are not dancers do not understand why we true entertainers have these feelings toward the afk ..but there are some who do and it is for those that support us that we dance for. we can show this server who the true entertainers are! please dont leave ! come back and lets show kauri who we are ! im goin to arrange more of the live entertainer shows in front of the starport along with some other friends and i guarantee u we will get support and the non afk will rise up and kauri will see that there are ELITE entertainers in the galaxy! please come back to us val !

Hello,

I would like to inform you that i was EXTREMELY angry that day for what was done. Now i have thought about it long and hard, I will not be purseing dancing any more as the devs have set into motion a snowball. By releasing the holos for chirstmas everyone started the holo craze. Now we all know, to unlock jedi,it only has to do with proffessions. As a result the Dancer proffession has been seriously maimed. I will now tell you who is next..... Doctors, my other proffession of choice. Evidently holo grinders are now charging 10k for buffs of 500 to ppls stats. This in my opinion will quickly kill Doctors, as that is all we are pretty good for so far, because wound pack B's are pretty much good enough that you dont need a doctor just novice medic. Also from what ive seen they are ruining Armorsmith and Weaponsmith as well.

This is the typical response of the person who afk and macros spam through the cantinas : "Well all i need to do is finish this stupid proffession, which i really dont like. So help me and we will both benefit because I will be out of your way for the real entertainers to do their job." Its been 1 month since the Holos were passed out like candy. I have yet to see a change. The afking started before the Holo pass out and only increased because of it. The reality is that when your done afking, there is someone taking the place of you. Now i have to help them finish fast to get them out of my hair. How many people do i have to help before i get to dance with a group of real entertainers? When can i go the the cantina and be sure my friends are there and can quickly join for a night of real fun? When can i go and just meet the Power grinders and newbies starting out? When can I go and choreograph fun nights of synchronized dancing without getting tells cursing me out for ruining thier macro? When will a dev or representative from Soe come look at my post and adress my issues? I am sad to say that this day will not come for me. I have decided to keep my account but i refuse to dance for anyone but my friends and i will not dance in a cantina to heal. But i will keep my account and play as a doctor and TKM till World of Warcraft comes out. But I will remember everyone who afked and i will be sure that IF this holo craze dies, and I can return to my proffession of choice I will Rape them on prices for a mind heal. I will only say this : " Hi hun =) if you just give me 1 million credits i will dance and you will help me be out of your hair, cuz i hate this proffession because you afked through it and stole my favorite gaming experience and i think 1 million will begin to comepensate for what you took from me.

We need to stop thinking like dancers (which I was proud to be:smileysad and think like soldiers fighting an enemy. Here is my last question to you. How can we restore our proffession?

my answer is hit them where it hurts, dont teach them. dont dance with them, get leadership then disban the group, yes we will get harrassed and seen as mean now, but tell me? how is taht different then how we are being treated now.

sorry about the length but i just get so angry at these people who think because they pay 15$ they can destroy our gaming experience.

That'd be the "Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle."

To Vionerd:

This may be the straw that broke the falumpaset's back, and if so then I understand it well. However, I do not think you should let this one instance with one fool for a group leader cause you to make this decision.

Never, ever surrender skills, delete objects, or cancel an account in anger or frustration. When you are about to do that, stop... log out, shut off the computer, and go do something else for 48 hours. If 2 days later you still feel that way, do it. But never in anger, or else you run the risk of being very sorry later, over something that you can't un-do.

As an example: On Sunday I went group hunting with my guild and there were too many people, and it became annoying and frustrating. I left and returned to Naboo, where I said, "OK I will go hunt stuff solo." My character, who is now 5 or 6 boxes into carbineer, got owned by things like Giant Shaupauts. I came this close to dropping carbine altogether in frusration. When that happened, I logged out and played KOTOR for a while, rented a movie, etc. Last night I logged back in again and had a blast using carbine with 2 friends (pistoleer, pikeman) hunting Bolle Bols. I realized that Sunday, I just had a bad day. I was VERY glad I had not surrendered carbine skill in frustration. You know how long it took me to get there? I would not want to have to do it over again...

So... don't quit things in frustration. It almost always ends up being a mistake, in the long run.

Oh, and PS: I care too.
