Thread: In Theed Cantina, sunday night...

I assume you are in the US? Might be an idea to create a toon on a more populated server and get to know some new people. Chimaera is still quite a busy server and there are always plenty of people around in the evenings and at the weekends (UK times). Although it is quite an effort to drag them away from Dant MO, which is the favoured grinding group meet point.
lol No I live in Newcastle England

After all, I play an entertainer to ENTERTAIN. That implies an audience and some other entertainers. If those don't exist, there's kind of no point to playing the character anymore.
And that is my point in posting that picture of Theed empty. How exactly is one supposed to be an entertainer for an empty room?

Don't worry Dej the devs have a handle on the game and know what works, what will help each profession and have no fear in instituting changes that will enhance our game play.
Just look at BE who was given Med crafting and told by the self-same devs that this would not only make us ecstatic but make us "rich beyond our wildest dreams" to steal a line from the movie - well, in all honesty they only said rich. Of cousre the fact that no one buys these meds is immaterial. We dosell D-Stims.
Removing the need for players to go to the cantina will instill players to want to come to the cantina to be entertained rather than force them into the cantinas. Didn't our props bring droves of players into the cantinas? The staggering amount of players lining up for the profession specific buffs is amazing to behold.
Why all the new content that has been added for the crafting (or non-combat) professions is mind boggling. I'm sohappy and I imagine that the architects are estatic withthe new house that will be available with the DD. Gives their profession a big boost and will have new players clammering to become architects or crafters.
So you see, you have no reason to fear that no cohesivethought is being give to the non-combat professions. The devs are on our side and bend over backwards to prove it. Need proof? Look at all the hot fixes to factory crates for Tailors. ![]()

Whoops nm didint read post all the way
I forgot Coronet is DEAD on Eclipse but Theed and Mos Eisely are busy and bustling.
I don't have an entertainer on Eclipse but my CH would certainly come and be part of the audience. Unfortunately I usually turn around and leave when all I see is AFK tags, spammers, or no one responding to spatial. Just let Sindal know and she'll be there.

And Theed, Coro, Eisley, AH, were all busy with ATK entertainers until about May of last year. Far too many ent became Village People.

Yeah Naritus has always been a low-population server compared to the others, but it's not THAT low.

As you have probably figured out by the posts it's because Naritus is a "dead" server compared to Bria, Bloodfin, Corbantis, Eclipse, and all the other big ones.
This is a slow night on Bria

Ummm, no.
I'm a Bria entertainer and I'm here to tell you that photo represents one cantina on one planet, probably Mos Eisley. The rest of the galaxy is as dead as a doornail. It's even more misleading to call thata "slow night", as if it's normal for there to be twice as many people there.
Mos Eisley is the exception because it's the newbie town. Nearly every other cantina out there is empty 95% of the time.
The silly thing about this claim is that even Eisley, while being full of entertainers, is generally empty of customers. This has lead to a weird situation where you have a roomful of a dozen or more entertaieners, yet the room is completely silent except for the occasional NPC and AFK-bot spam. The entertainers have no customers to talk to so they spend their time talking in groupchat to each other. It's not even close to being a "normal" cantina atmosphere, at least not the sort that I grew up with.
Naritus is the same. Eisley is about 33% ATK / 66% AFK / 1% customers (LOL)... Dant MO and Dath Science are AFKers only... and every other cantina on the server is dead.
I'd say I'm glad to see we're not the only ones, but in a way I wish we were the only ones... That even Bria is like this, when it's the acknowledged high-population server, is pretty telling.
