Thread: 3 Questions asked, Devs answered..

I love how he had to imply he had help with some of the answers. He means he had to have a suit read it and make sure it was proper non-commital double speak. Thanks for asking but the answers are non-answers as expected. I wish they spent as much time designing and testing as they do considering their answers to simple questions.
Actually what was said was that there was a group of developers in one room to answer the questions, they were just all going to posted under Helios' name. (Not that that makes the actual answers any better).
The way I see it, the answer to question #2 was actually an answer. I don't know about the rest of you, but it appeared that with the new development team and the CU and the lack of entertainer inclusion, many of us were wondering if we'd even have an entertainer revamp in the first place. So, it's nice to have confirmation that we will.
But, like many of you, I am trying to stay...realistic. I've kinda lost any notion of expectations about the game anymore. And, I too, agree that we've been told many things that were never delivered. But, I think the key here is...ok, sure, don't have the expectations, that way you don't get disappointed when/if it doesn't happen. But, at the same time, it's frustrating to me to see such negatively worded and inflammatory posts. Not that I expect anything to happen, but because if something will happen for us, it decreases the odds when posts are made like this.
And, yes, I agree. We are the paying customers. But, whether right or wrong, it's obvious to me that those doing the programming and decision making are human like the rest of us and may not want to work with us if they are feeling flamed, or whether or not they deserve it. It's just a fact of human nature, I suppose.
So, you just gotta work with that. You just have to grin and bear it. The time for flaming people and yelling at the top of our lungs is when it doesn't look like we're getting anything, so that we can get some attention. But, when the door is opened, it's time for the flaming to stop. It's time to walk into the room calmly to share ideas, not to walk in there angry and say, "You have sucked the last two years, I don't trust you, so I don't want anything!" That just cuts of your nose to spite your face. And, if you're too angry to participate calmly, the least someone can do is sit back quietly and not ruin the chances for your fellow entertainers. Because when you do that, no matter how much you don't care anymore or you don't expect anything anymore, you're not just affecting yourself, but you're affecting everyone else as well. And, that's just mean and unfair.
Believe me, I share many of the same concerns, and feelings, and anger that many of you do. I'm not naive to think that the answers to these questions means everything is going to be hunky dory. But, for the sake of the others and the possibility that things may turn out ok, it would be selfish of me to flame the devs on every single post they make, especially when it looks like they have, in fact, opened the door a little.
One last thing...as far as a revamp meaning fundamental changes. I don't know, I'm not sure how that could happen. I mean, we dance, right? hehe. That kinda works and I don't know why exactly they'd make changes to that. Other than the dancing, we have the inspiration buffs and BF healing, which are very minor things. It's hard for me to imagine how these things could be ruined in a "revamp." Not saying it's not possible, but the risks seem minimal compared to all the things that could and have been changed with the combat revamp. *shudder*
Truthfully, in the past 6 months or so, we really have been getting a lot of attention, compared to before, and compared to other professions. And, while I'm not saying to shut up and be grateful, what I am saying is that you can't completely ignore all that and say they aren't paying us *some* attention.

They didn't even need to write all of that. They should have just said, "Entertainers?"
... you should've seen the answers they gave to the politicians
/whisper Eshie, sticky
Seriously, you politicians should take them aside and have a word with those SOE representatives. I have never soon anyone struggling so hard to say "No comment".
I'm used to being ignored by the devs. My other character is a Smuggler.
Funny the only two characters I have are the two most ignored.

Here's the evenfunnier part...
I was a Master Dancer and I gave it up for Master Fencer because my Master Smuggler was too weak...now with smuggler being viable again...I'm probably going back to...Dancer![]()
Returning to my roots as someone said...Master Smuggler/and in time Master Dancer
So I'll get to be ignored by the Devs again too on both my professions...and I'm choosing it...quick someone check if I'm sane. ![]()

Nooooooooooooooo! Every time they revamp something, they drain every last bit of fun out of it.
That's what I thought.
Good to see they read your questions and actually answered them.
Have a look at the Musician questions - if the word "when" appeared in any of them, or timeframe was mentioned, the entire rest of the questions were written off/ignored and the only response was, "We cannot tell you a timeframe." Multiply "we cannot estimate a date for when this will happen" times 3. That's the Musician "questions and answers."
The bottom line is that I'm paying for a Master Entertainer, Master Dancer andMaster Musician - and a 15 skill point Novice Entertainer provides the exact same benefits as me. That's deplorable, in my opinion.
your definatly not sane but I lvoe you anyway does this mean you'll be joining me in theed soon
