Last week Tiggs asked the correspondents to provide three questions from their communities. Below are the questions I provided and the answers received. The dev posting the answers was Helios_SOE, however, he indicated that he had some help from others.

Esharra wrote:

1. Will a respec of skill points be made available for non-combat professions?

It has been mentioned that a respec for all professions might be made possible. My community strongly feels that the dancer profession has changed drastically with the CU and such a respec is warranted.

There are no current plans to do this, but it is being considered.

2. Will a reduction in experience point requirements for dancers be considered and when?

With the CU, dancers' ability to gain dance experience and entertainer healing experience has been reduced, due to loss of mind wound healing and the much smaller group size resulting in lower potential group xp earnings.

All aspects of entertainer gameplay and advancement will be evaluated and adjusted during the entertainer revamp.

3. Will you provide a concrete answer to the question ofwhat the future holds for entertainers?

Many dancers are feeling rather without hope right now due to the enormous impact of the CU on the entertainer professions and what they perceive as a lack of interest in these professions by developers. As I have traveled to different servers this past week I have been having to do a lot of damage control against rumors that entertainers are being removed from the game or have become so decimated that the professions will no longer receive developer attention.

As soon as we can, we will definitely share this info with you to get your input.

They didn't even need to write all of that. They should have just said, "Entertainers?"

Well see this is typical and it's why most dancers don't even pay attention to what the devs say anymore. Those answers tell us nothing. Absolutely zero. Basically they gave us the fancy equivalent of "No comment." What is the point of them even answering when they give us "No comment" as the answer?

I did not wait around allready two master combat skills without respec, combat is very easy and a lot of fun now. and I did it AKB and solo for most part.

I gave up waiting, I have a home to pay maintenance on and other buildings. The cantinas I have been to in the last three days were 100% afk except for a few at theed. I know I do not play in most players prime time so I guess that is expected.. I still ahve master musician/dancer/image design on 5 other servers so I did not leave entertaining 100%, only on the server I play on 99% of the time.

Have to say the thought of an 'entertainer revamp' scares me.

We aren't broken enough to need one and as such a revamp... well I'd be VERY worried it would end up with something as misguided as the CU.

We just need solutions to our major issues which can be done as the course of normal patches plus maybe some nice content like the casino.

I would like to see a revamp. So, I hope that the devs aren't turned off to giving us one when they see negative posts.

heh I think if that were the case they'd have been turned off long ago

I just wish they'd have answered the "when" question with more of a time frame answer rather than "with the revamp". The revamp is the make or break for me and I don't want it to be revealed the day after I renew my subscription..

Well, in true Dev style - those answers don't really answer anything.

But on the bright side, they did mention the "Entertainer Revamp" and I guess that is something **shrugs**. In regards to that, I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed that it will be the time when they seriously address our issues and truly look into giving the profession all the fun stuff (more dances!! Props, tricks, you name it), as well as a steady viability and means of recognition in the community. At the moment, I've been working on my own "Recognition" system on Sunrunner which I will prolly share when its done, butI would still like to see something like the fame system in place too

I love how he had to imply he had help with some of the answers. He means he had to have a suit read it and make sure it was proper non-commital double speak. Thanks for asking but the answers are non-answers as expected. I wish they spent as much time designing and testing as they do considering their answers to simple questions.
