Anyway, to help you out in your promotion of sharing the joy of AFKing with other professions who don't seem to see any problems with it:
This is the core command for the AFK Killer macro (with flavors for marksman and brawler):
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
That lets the targets for combat be selected automatically. Follow that up witht the loopy command, the attacks you want, /loot or /harvest bone or whatever /healdamage on self and voila, your very own brafkwler, or mafkrsman, with scout too if you want. Could even be a CM, though that might prove expensive to do. Its all about choosing low level targets or saftey in numbers--the geo lab has quiet a following for providing higher end targets to use this on. I would think for a base defense bot, especially one up on a second instance (how so many people use entertainers) this could work well into the base defense bot idea.
And I agree, the AFK doc stuff is out there and not too challenging to find. From tumbling to afk buffers, its only the cost that keeps more people from doing it. So you need to find things that don't have high costs to get people to bot it. Any profession where there's no "waste" issue is one that if you can write a bot code, people would bot it (no matter how "boring" or not).

I'm familiar with cycleTargetOutward, I plan to use it in the base defense bot, preceded by /target self so that it always targets the closest enemy to the bot, so you don't get the lure out of range turret bug, this time on bots. Also I'm going to recommend use of walleye mode for maximum viewing range, as well as using Ctrl-Shift-S to cause the camera to auto rotate, giving the bot a full 360 degree field of view.

Eaca, you rock. As you know, I am a strong advocate for live entertainment and I have strong opinions against AFKers and BuffBots.
This is awesome.I surely hope a lot of people start using it and it ends up creating a really negative atmosphere in the game. Let them destroy their gaming experience the way they have destroyed ours. I'm so tempted to make one with my 2nd account since I have no alt on Flurry. I love the idea: having a live performer as the main char, and an AFK assistbot following me around. Too bad I'm neutral and I could not PvP.

An assist bot could assist you in PvE as well as PvP, think of it as your own personal body guard. Combat Assist Bots are quite possibly the second most convenient thing to have, after an Ent Buff Bot, double the HAM, double the firepower, double the smack talk!!!

Just how effecient is the cycletargetoutward?
Is it possible to combine it with a /follow?
Buff up your AFKer, full 90% comp, set them loose on Talus. Would have to be melee. /follow the closest target, kill it, loot it, harvest it. Set a seperate timer macro that will /dump the macro 5 or 10 minutes befre buffs run out and then /sit and /logout afterwards in case of aggro.
You might not get much meat and you might not get far if spawns are broken but if you started near the fynock cave you mgiht get some... And when good talusian avian sells for sometimes 100 - 200+ cpu you should make a killing!

/follow generally doesn't follow close enough to be in melee range, thats why the combat bots are all ranged
