Nah, you're not the only one.
I mastered dancer in Sept of '03, and am working on my third time re-gaining my title, and I never, ever could get it right. I was always insanely jealous of those who could.![]()
*great sigh of relief* you just made my whole day!

It may have changed.. From talking to Sultrina it used to look different than it does now. She's been doing this longer than I have been. (She calls it warping though.)
Unless you're doing something different than I am, last time I watched someone else doing this it involved running to the new location when the flourish finished. It doesn't look bad really, just the way it works.

Tiaga, I've seen you do your little demonstration both in the past and more recently (you just didn't know I was watching, but c'mon, you're hard to miss), so just so you know what it looks like now compared to before, here's as close a description as I can get:
It looks like you are sliding across the floor while trying to walk. Your character appears to be stepping forward, but is actually sliding to the new location while you (the dancer's player) are seeing the flourish. One of your arms goes out in front of you and the other goes back, same with your feet, like you're taking a step forward, and it sort of stutters like that a couple times, but you're facing the same way you were when you started turning, even if you're moving in a different direction. It looks particularly funky when you are moving sideways but facing forward, because you essentially look like you're walking forward while you slide to the side.
