You know what, the devs could just make all the dungeons and POIs instanced. That would solve ALL camping problems.

Round-eye, skim through the rest of Sirii's posts, and you'll notice that she is an ardent opponent to unattended play.
The entire post was a sarcastic reply to commoncomplaints (such as yours) about players camping great spawns while afk. In reality, Sirii disagrees with the concept as well.
Edit: Just saw your new edit upon completion of my post

I really don't understand howanyone can condone playing a MMOG unattended for any reason, especially when it involves hording content in the game. The very concept of online gaming is alien toany typeof AFK playing. It was a fundamental blunder on the part of the original creators of SWG to allowany type of AFK playability. Fortunately the Devs have recognizedthatthe ability to play AFK must be removed from the game as soon as possible.
The planned elimination of recursive macros will solve this problem and the AFK players will eventually have to play the gamesitting in front of their computers like everyone else. Is this really a bad thing? One of themain reasons whyrecursive macroshave not been removed yet is because a way to help crafters streamline their crafting process has not beendeveloped so theyneed torely on recursive macroing (which by the way does not involve any AFK playing on the part of the crafter).
Turning our backs to the AFKissue and just accepting it like the article at the top of this thread says is not the answer. In addition this article actually insults people who actively play SWG,at one point insinuating that they are "lazy". How can someone who is taking the time toactively play SWG be called lazy in comparision to someone who sets their unattended player on "autopilot"in one single spot in the game? I find it amazing whatsenseless, illogical reasonssome peoplecome up with to rationalize their own actions. Bottom line, thereis no way to validate unattended playing of any game.

Well if this is indeed the case she should have presented this in a different manner. I have seen posts that were like this from people who actually supportedAFK playing. In light of this, someone such as myself would have no problem seeing this post as a serious and not sarcastic one.

If you have ever spent ANY quality time on the dancer forums you would know this was the most well written peice of sarcasm you have ever read. NOBODY hates afk-ing ANYTHING more than the ladies on this forum!

Great post Sirii. I got more than a few personal chuckles out of it. I wasn't aware that AFK looters had become such a problem to other players, but I hope other peoples' eyes are finally being opened to the problems of AFK macros - and the tired and selfish excuses of the people who exploit them. While I doubt that this will do anything to hasten their removal, perhaps an escalation of AFK macro abuse such as this will help quell the outcry once they finally are removed.

This post was definitely intended for the long-time readers of the forum. As a regular lurker here myself I understood it for what it was, satire at it's best - and got a good chuckle out of it, but I can also easily see how you misunderstood the intent.
