Why allow one negativestatement to ruin what could be a relevent and useful thread though, Rose? The concept negates all that we could be doing with a wishlist for a revamp.

hon, if you want Eshie or the devs to take you seriously, you might want to change the first line.

Hehe, that was my fault I'll admit, the new developer team was my wish for an entertainer revamp.
And you know what? I meant it.
Let's just say that my faith in the current developers has by now hit rock-bottom. At the moment I don't expect them to get anything right anymore, and I fear that if they ever get started on our revamp, they'll only mess it up and leave us in a worse state than before. That's not intended as a slur to the coders, the ones actually building this game. But whoever pulls the strings, whoever makes the decisions about this game is either totally clueless and incompetent or simplygreedy, only caring about next quarter's earnings and not in the least about the customers (but to be honest I'm willing to at least give them credit for wanting this game to flourish. There are others who've said that this may all be intentional, but I'm not that paranoid. So that only leaves stupidity as an explanation for the state of the game).
And also, with the past history of dev-player communication, you could argue that unless we get this new Dev team, all the rest of these great ideas will count for nothing because they'll get ignored anyway.
So in short, I stand by my entry in the wishlist

edit: nevermind. as a correspondent, a dancer, and a paying customer, I'll stay out of this thread from now on. sorry for trying to help, and it's sad how one line can jeopardize all the work that entertainer-sympathetic corrs have done

Okay, here are my top 10, in no particular order:

ok, here's the list of everything that you said you wanted.
1 - a new Dev team
(yes, I know it's not realistic, but see my previous post about how I think about this)
3 - entertainer specific clothing
5 - new dances/songs/pallette options (released in a regular and timely manner)
6 - alternate methods of completing pre-existing quests and theme parks
9 - realistic abilities (i.e. higher health, improved dodge, etc, highlighting the performers need to be in top physical condition)
11- alternate forms of income, that can't be afk'ed (i'm going to call that one as a top issue)
12 - entertainer specific quests and theme parks for....
13 - entertainer specific items,loot, and abilities
(that's really one item IMO, so I only counted it as one)
26 - a cool in-game advertising system
27 - musicians whith a greater variety of songs than the juke box (and not the other way around)
29 - a Fame system, similar to the FRS system or the faction point system

what you described isn't the dev team... and it's nothing that you can change in a wish list.
The game designers then, the decision makers, whoever sets the course. Depends on your exact definition of Developer, doesn't it? See the comment I highlighted.
And yes, I know it's not realistic, however it is what I perceive as the entertainer's best chance at ever becoming a viable and fun profession anymore, therefore I submitted it.
I knew the list meant well, and I don't want it to be ignored by someone important just because they read the first line and thought it was another whine.
But that's just it: what makes you think that this list will do any good at all? I agree that we should give it a try, and I even agree with those that say that we should stay constructive and present our concerns in a rational and calm manner.
However, I only think we should do it this way for our own sake because there is enough whining here already and we should at leastprove we're better than that. But I don't expect it to work.
If now all of a sudden the Devs would start listening to player's input and suggestions for changes in game mechanics on that scale, that would be a first in the history of this game. I fully expect them to ignore it anyway, that's exactly why I made my suggestion as it was. The current Dev team is hopeless, we'll never get anything worthwhile out of them.

I've been wondering what kind of impact entertainer or artisan levels would have in the game. I mean if we have levels for combat why not also for the other playstyles? Combat isn't the only way to play an MMO and certainly not mine.
My personal top items:
My personal top items:
- Entertainers should have a viable way to make money.
- Entertainer specific clothing.
- Increased group size in Cantinas.
- A /changedance command usable for bandflos (like musicians get /changeband)
- Content. More dances.
