After 18 years in computing this is the first project I've been around where they intentionally and knowningly broke functions with in scope without planning any replacement functionality in the same scope. Sorry their excuses don't fly, they destroyed or did serious damage to several non-combat professions and should have planned for fixing them "IN SCOPE". Their excuse is the ultimate in laziness and market speak to justify bad decisions.

Wound heaing affects buff speed, higher the mod the faster it is for the same exp per tick. =/

This does not seem to be the case- the technique branch controls buff speed (grinded by dancing/music xp)

The issue is that there is a branch, grinded by (harder to get) healing XP- that seems to give no advanced abilities- but needs to be grinded to make master.

It says it heals WOUNDS.

Someone tell me AGAIN why I have to pay to log in?

It seems that they should be paying me for helping develop their game for them.

Just about anyone can play Beta for free in just about any game …

But topay for playing Beta...is unique and special ….

This is why I dropped most of my dancer skills for things that actually work.

I've been doing software development for 5 years, and maintenance, and I can honestly say there's never been a project I've been a part of that HAD to adversely affect something, and it was not then brought into the "scope" of the project.

They can blather about scope all they like - basic fundamental project methodology dictates that if your project is going to hurt functionality, even if it's in a system you don't *want* to mess with - congratulations, you're fixing it and it is now part of the scope of your project. Don't have enough hours allocated to make that change? Then don't do the project, unless you get more hours.

The simple fact of the matter is that they had a version of the CU, they hated it, they rewrote everythingwhich then suddenly ballooned their scope all over God's creation in this game, and they couldn't delay the CU again because it'd been delayed for over a year at that point.

Remember how people freaked when the CU got delayed for JTL? Yeah, it would have been worse if they delayed it again.

They decided to throw the "not within the scope of the CU" line to everything they knew they screwed up, but didn't have time to fix. It was a cop out, and it was poor project management.

Plus, since this is a subscription service, the fact that they borked our professions and left us with obsolete skills and misnamed skills that came as a direct result of the CU changes, THEN told us they wouldn't do anything else because we're not within the scope of the CU, was just downright insulting.

"Yeah, we broke your part of the game - but we're not fixing you for awhile. Gee, sorry."

Hmm, actually - we weren't given the dignity of an apology. We were just told we weren't important enough to fix in the CU, but they certainly had no qualms about breaking us in the CU.

And, to further demonstrate how oh-so-important we seem to be...they certainly got that stupid cloning terminal bug fixed fast, yeah? Now - how about fixing this stupid "STOP WATCHING/STOP LISTENING" bug that's plagued us since the CU, and renders USELESS their /covercharge efforts? How in the hell did anyone test /covercharge when they kept instantly stopwatching or stoplistening, anyways? Given enough time actually interacting with an Entertainer, anyone would have seen it continually popping up.

But don't worry, the combatants FINALLY don't have to make the HORRIBLE effort of typing /clone to actually clone (which worked every single time)...yet our basic and fundamental ability and contribution to the community of BF healing and Inspiration remains horribly bugged and downright unsurpassable.

Yes, I'm furious this bug has continued this long. Why?

Because my Master Dancer, Musician, and Entertainer isrendered USELESS IN THIS GAME while it continues.

And nobody seems to give a friggin' HOOT over in Devland - but they put a /covercharge function in that's rendered USELESS by this bug, and it has the potential to make Entertainers into a handy AFK vendor who's totally passive, at any buffbot's whim.

Sorry, folks...haven't ranted in awhile.

Absolutely classic Deli'ah!

I can honestly say that getting healing xp on a newbie entertainer is extremely difficult. I finally resorted to getting scout xp and respecing it to entertainer healing xp. In two hours I was able to get 4 scout skills boxes.Compare that totwo hours of dancing and earningnot one skill box. If I werea brand new player who was simply testing the waters for entertaining I probably would have given up and gone with just about any other profession out there. Especially since the ability to simply greet someone in return has been removed from certain servers. Even fellow entertainers simply stand there or dance there without so much as a /wave (and no they weren't afk since they instantly gave me a /invite when they stopped getting the xp from people entering the cantina). What's up with that? I even cleaned up and changed clothes before going into the cantina thinking that maybe I was just so offensive from all the hunting...

Au contraire--I got 200 bf from dying twice!

And later I met a nice jedi who was kind enough to heal my health wounds for me!

War --

Extremely well said. I couldn't have said it better.

The devs of this game are SLOPPY.

At this point... the only thing keeping me subscribing is my incredibly stupid attachment to, and love of, the two great characters I have created. Dejah in particular, feels almost like my own daughter. Stupid, very stupid, I know, to get attached to your own character, but I am, and I love her in my way... and I can't bear to stop playing her... to stop seeing her on my screen, RPing her interactions with people, watching her dance and listening to her play music. She may be bugged to all hell and back but she is my character and I can't bear to part with her.

I would never even consider cancelling before the CU. Since it, the devs have produced such SHODDY work and asked me to swallow it as if it were high quality stuff, that my love of Dejah is the main thing keeping me still in the game. And even with that, I still have hovered over the cancel button more than once the last month.

One day I will probably wise up, realize Dejah only exists in my mind, and quit the game. But until then, I will stupidly keep subscribing. Which reminds me of a Ben quote from Star Wars:

"Who's more foolish... the incompetent dev, or the player who keeps paying to use the incompetent dev's products?"
