Thread: Has anyone tested this?!!
How exactly the default is chosen, I am not sure, so I'm not sure if you can change it, or if it just defaults to the top of the list (which for dancers, I believe, is in fact Chef). If the default is "last one chosen" for example, then you could do it by hand upon logging in, and then thereafter it would select that one.
Apparently there is a group of people on one server (I will be no more specific) that has basically set up a "buff-ateria" where they have spamming buffbots, each doing a different "default", and you just pick the one you want and stand close, and they eventually target you and give the buff. Or at least, that is what they are trying to set up. I am not sure if it is actually possible, and I won't discuss the details further for obvious reasons.

Apparently it can be primitively macroed. That is to say, you can get the UI to accept the "default." I *will not* explain how this is done here. (Although I am sure some wiseacre will, if he/she hasn't already on another thread.)

Hm, what happens if you macro the "ENTER" button after doing /insp chef?

I told Red Dwarf how I think it works and he is testing it.

I can't check in game right now but I was under the impression that the "default" buff is the passive one for this reason.
That's why whenever I post about making the passive buff require activation, I always make a point of also adding "...and the default on the popup to be "no buff.""
Testing is never bad, IMO, but referring to this subject, Esh posted in the "Community Help?" thread...
Esharra wrote:btw../insp chef will bring up the selection box. It will not select anything from it. Now that would be pretty dumb to add a line command in a system where you're trying to prevent using a line command for automation, wouldn't it be? /smirk
Going back to bed..
Thanks Chessack.
To respond to the OP
Using /inspire chef will open a ui box for a player named chef
Using a macro to "enter" will not change whatever buff is being applied, if the general buff is building up then it continues to do so, if the chef buff is building it would continue, but it would not change from one buff to another.
As far as I have seen the only way round the code is an illegal 3rd party program so I stand by my post made elsewhere that if you come across someone offering active buffs while clearly AFK then please inform the correspondent and the CSR's for appropriate action to be made.
DO NOT post their name or location publically (as until CSR's have investigated it is an allegation and making that publically could result in action taken against you).
