Thread: Entertainer Foods: Do You Use Them?

Absolutely. I've just made Master Dancer, spent the afternoon reading boards to learn about buffing, etc., and now that I know how buffing works (and how long it can take, and how to reduce the time), I will be looking for sources of Action-buffing foods and drinks as soon as I log on tonight. Doc buffs on my server, Bria, run 10-13k, and when dancing, I don't need half of them. Foods that would reduce or eliminate my dependency on doctors would be a tremendous benefit.

I love Accarragm and I know a few Chefs who name theirs "Dancer Brandy" to drive the point home.

I have seen Chefs go into the Cantinas to hand out free samples and answer questions... I think that's a great idea! The interest is there, but I think a lot of newer Dancers who don't read the forums may not know what foods to buy.

I use Accarragm. My chef/be character's last batch is+442, 35m, 50 fill. My partner is a doc but it's usually when he's Not able to log in that I can find time to dance and I just refuse to spend any of my valuable playtime standing in a buff line.

I'm sorry to say I use Accarragm all the time, I'm fast getting a reputation as a lush. Since I'm Zabrak ( actually half-Zabrak on my mothers side ) my secondary action stats max out quite low and I have to stop and heal myself if there are no medics or docs about. While dancing solo this isnt a big deal but dancing in a group (which I do more often than not) it can be a MAJOR pain in the . . . .err backside. Its hard enough to sync the base step as it is plus add in the 15 second-incredibly-silly-wait-to-start-again-if-you-miss-the-first-time-delay that has been so lovingly added and once you getsynced you don't really want to stop again. So I always have my Accarragm ( OT can anyone actually pronounce this word? ) handy. I little drinkie-poo and i'm good for at least 30 minutes 2 if I want to buff and throw in a few extra flos. Hmmm. . . . a thought just occured to me maybe Accarragm isn't alcohol at all just a tea. Yeah thats it a nice herbal tea. Rationalize anything enough and the problem soon fades into oblivion.

Goodness YES I used them!

I buy Accarragm by the Factory Crate when I find it. It's the only way I've been able to keep my poor feet moving while I'm inching closer to Master Dancer.

I've even bought blob candy when really desperate...*G*

I've never seen the Clusjo Swirls...but be assured, I'll be looking for them.

I can't always count on the "kindness of strangers" to heal me...so like a good Girl Scout...I'm always prepared!

Well since i'm already Master Dancer, i don't have to flourish every 10 seconds anymore.

But for buffs i take 1 sip of accarragm, i still loose action with it, but my action-bar is enough for 3:10 minutes of flourishing without a heal.

And for performing where a lot of flourishes mixed with effects are done i also take 1 or 2 sips depending on how much i need.

I use the BE enhanced version of it. +412 for 38 minutes i think, with 49 or 50 filling. costed 200k for 25 bottles of 18 charges, thats 444 credits per sip, but i can do more than 1 buff with it, and so its ok I agree that you need the money to buy it first though

The non-BE version are around 200-250 i think for around 30 mins so you'd have to take 2 sips of it. Its cheaper, (i think only 30k for a crate, but guess that depends on server and chef) but you can't drink 2 sips again once the effect is gone(since the stomach needs 45 minutes to empty again).

With the BE version, you only drink one, and the stomach is empty after 23 minutes again, so you can drink another one after 38 minutes without problems

Never used Kiwik though, it only lasts 10 minutes, and still has quite some filling, so you can't stay "buffed" all the time, but if you only need a boost for a short time, it might actually be cheaper...

I have used Scrimpi (?) when I was leveling up my musician. As a tiny newbie dancer I didn't know much about anything, so I just either hoped a kind aspiring doctor healed me or sat on my taut tushie when I got too tired.

My husband bought me the Scrimpi though...I don't know what its stats were but I know I could flourish like mad for a while.

So yes, I would gladly use them while I dance/play.

Accarragm is the stuff! Besides, food is so much better for ya than the Spice... drugs are bad, you have to take care of your body if you're a dancer. Yay chefs.

I used to be a master dancer, and, yes, I loved those action/quickness/stamina buffs--but a doctor wasn't always available. And if they were, most would insist on a full buff for 7k-9k even if you didn't need the hp/str/con buff(just so they have even sets of buffs packs). How to get around that? Foods that enhances action HAM and secondaries. Do any of you dancers use them?

Since I'm training chef and was a former dancer, I thought these foods would be a good entertainer's snack!Your thoughts?

Hi Ditah!

You know what foods I use... but for the readers here...

Kiwik Clusjo Swirl is my choice for buffing. It's an even lower-cost alternative to Accarragm (at least from what I've seen on Ahazi), and has shorter duration - but - I eat one snack per buff I do. The crate of them I have now gives +306 quickness and stamina for almost 13 minutes... more than enough time for any single buff. At 39 filling, I can overlap 'doses' as needed. I do lose action while overfloing, but then again... I just haven't had a constant line for buffs here in awhile, so it's all worked out fine.

Doc stamina buffs are great - if you can stillfind adoc who'll selljust the stamina buff - so long as you're constantly buffing customers to offset the cost of the buff. Lately though, buffing has been a bit more hit and miss, and the foods fit the role just great.

Miss dancing with you Ditah... I guess that architecture just pays to well?

I always use Accarragm for buffing or big peformances (when I don't have doctor buffs). Unfortunately it doesn't seem like a lot of chefs on my server make it, I have a hard time finding it by the crate.

Hi everyone, my name is Drygo, and I'm an accaragm addict.

(Hi Drygo!)

Ok, so I'm not at all a powergamer or grinder or anything like that. I'm not desolately poor by any means, but I don't have a whole lot of money. I most assuredly can't afford to spend 200K (or more) on a crate of accaragm. Unfortunately, it seems like I have the exact opposite problem as GroovyMarlin. I wish I could find 10 servings of accaragm on the bazaars for 5k, but unfortunately I can't. It's sort of the same problem I have when I'm trying to buy resources. I can always buy huge ass crates of them if I want to, but I just can't afford it. I wish people would sell smaller quantities for less money. Keep in mind that most of us entertainers (not all) are still "poor" in the grand scheme of things. A Master Dancer will certainly be more wealthy than a novice entertainer-quite a bit wealthier actually. But, someone who strictly entertains for a living will make less money than most of the other master professions. As such, many of us can't afford huge crates of stuff for hundreds of thousands of credits. So, if you're a chef considering making your entertainer clientele happy campers, please consider actively selling us smaller quantities. There have been many times, since I found out the wonders of accaragm, that I've been in a Cantina asking if anyone sells them. I'd love to hear "I do!" every once in awhile. Or, if you're a chef, I bet if you went into the Cantinas and advertised (not spammed, but a couple of shouts), you'd probably have no problem selling...especially to the dancers.

my alt is a dancer/chef and she stocks and uses accarragm all the time. Especially if she is going to be buffing hunting groups for long times. This is on Starsider though. Her name is Jasmine'. Vendor can be found on the planetary map under food , vendor is named Accarragm (giggle) Not meant to be a shameless plug, but just want to get the word out there, that chefs do make this, but sadly ALOT of dancers/musicians dont know about it or cant find it.
